Friedburg single handedly trying to keep All in from being a state media apparatus
-
I'm so over intellectuals explaining Trump doing the right thing for the wrong motivation. It's just next level coping
-
Trust the experts. I've never seen a guy use so many words and say so few things.
-
Thank you for bringing on an opposing view. Now I am more convinced that this operation was a good idea.
-
Mr Allison is obviously extremely impressed with himself. He has his opinions, but so does everyone else.
-
He’s from Harvard - that says it all 😂😂😂😂
-
We're still trusting Harvard Professors now?
-
Assuming this gentleman is in fact an intellectual, this interview clearly demonstrates the validity of the saying: Garbage in, garbage out.
-
A heads up to noobs that my best friend worked at Harvard Kennedy, her boss led the Intelligence training program, he shuffled between the CIA and Harvard, and he owned a GIANT yacht he had parked in New York harbor. Just to illustrate there is no daylight between Harvard and the deep state
-
If this is the best Harvard has to offer, shut it down.
-
This is essentially a damage control pod!
-
Conclusion: I hate Trump, I hate Bibi, I love China.😂
-
This guy sounds exactly like someone who receives all their geopolitical information from WaPo, BBC, NYT, and the AP. Some of his assertions, which he casually mentioned, were just flat out incontrovertibly wrong. After that his opinions lost all value.
-
The supply chain for Semiconducters is extremely complex and fragile. Professor Allison, just focusing on where they are made, tells me he has a rudimentary understanding of the issue and makes it hard to take anything else he says seriously.
-
I grew up in the Islamic Republic’s school system in Iran. This felt a bit unfair to Bibi. If he hadn’t been in power in Israel, there might not even be an Israel today, the Islamic Republic would’ve tried to swallow it years ago. Khamenei feared him so much
-
where is David Sacks? I wish he was still alive to witness this war.
-
The Risk Board background is 🔥🔥🔥
-
When is Jeffrey Sachs coming back to the All In platform?
-
No Mention of over 40,000 people in Iran killed in a matter of days is very disappointing... I think that ranks pretty high and motivation for attempting to remove the irgc and help the country
-
Sad to see these Harvard professors just so biased and deluded
-
A true Harvard spokeswomen
-
Short term thinking guy. Not wise.
-
Why do these billionaires need ads
-
Syria is gone. Proxies gone. I’m sorry but I’d rather kill the enemy when he’s at his weakest than wait 10 years when they have rebuilt their proxies and have a nuclear bomb. Maybe id rather just destroy an enemy than having to play footsie with them.
-
Who booked this guy?
-
This guy is an example of what is wrong with our foreign policy since WWII. Intellectual EGGHEAD. All he can say is what if? In 1937 his friend Chamberlain was saying what if. It only cost us 50 Million lives. People like this are dangerous as they promote their ego.
-
Typical Harvard drivel. The Kennedy School ( I’m a graduate) is another tentacle of the Democrat party. Bibi is not obsessed with a white whale- he’s obsessed with survival of his country. And Americans should review the decades long war Ir@n has waged against the US. This discussion would be more interesting if they gave 30 minutes to someone who has lived and worked in the real world.
-
People seeing Friedberg's map for the first time are just realising land wars have and will be around forever.
-
If you want Friedberg to start his own pod without the lackeys👇🏻
-
Blaming it on nethanyahu is low level analysis. Pushed by friedbwrg as he is terrified of antisemitism but can’t stand up to it. This war is in Americas interest against China and its supplies and in securing a whole region under American hegemony
-
Had to stop watching. Too painful. He has zero perspective why this had to happen. Nice try.
-
Amazing that Trump takes out yet another Russian ally (Venezuela and now Iran), while India is being squeezed for continuing to buy Russian oil. But still every one believes Trump is pro-Russian anti-Ukraine.
-
Time for the USA (and Israel) to ensure the Hormuz Strait is reopened and remains open for the years to come. This seems a pretty low price for starting the war. Time for the US military bases in the Gulf to ensure Iran does not terrorise the Gulf States nor threaten their economies. The US military just needs to allocate the relevant resources to it now and for the years to come. Seems a pretty low price for achieving stability in the Gulf.
-
Never Trumper Boomer, enough said. Time will tell, Iran has been a huge thorn for the world for the last 50 years.
-
wtf am i watching, did old-timer get his jelly in the end?
-
Bring in Professor Jiang!
-
Was WWII Churchills's war? Can you consider CONTAINMENT (per Venezuela) the goal? Will Iraq be more stable and prosperous without Iranian cleric domination?
-
Regime change worked well with post-WW2 Germany, post-WW2 Italy, post-WW2 Greece, post-WW2 Japan, and post-WW2 South Korea; although doing such requires DOING rather than talking about doing.
-
Bibi has been predicting that Iran will soon have nuclear weapons for last 30 years. It's mind boggling that US still has support for foreign wars after what happened in Vietnam, Afghanistan & Iraq.
-
This Harvard "professor" is so short sighted. And he has no solution how to end Iranian evil regime.
-
Excellent questions by the hosts. Graham's typical turkey problem response - a turkey fed every day by a farmer gradually concludes that the farmer is benevolent or harmless. Each feeding reinforces this belief—until the day before Thanksgiving, when the farmer arrives not with corn but with a knife. Decline of US Graham mentioned is predominantly contributed by this thinking in the last 20 decades and more.
-
Where's Sacks !!!
-
Why is "democracy" thrown around like a tautological good without qualification? It's ridiculous.
-
The fact they didn’t get John Meirsheimer or Jeff sachs to talk about this should tell you all that you need to know.
-
Nah dudes, this is a war the israeli public has been waiting for for decades. It has majority support here.
-
In a nutshell: Harvard professor Graham Allison analyzes the high risks and strategic uncertainties surrounding Netanyahu's war on Iran, highlighting potential negative effects on global stability and U.S. interests (1:14-11:44). He also projects a low likelihood of a Taiwan invasion by China in the near term, emphasizing the need for a stable U.S.-China relationship (24:28-36:09). You’re all welcome. Just saved you from wasting your time watching this hoopla.
-
“ I remember Cyrus “ 😆 he is old enough we was pals with Cyrus 😆
-
Save your time, skip this episode.
-
Sorry, it’s actually about China guys
-
The guy is an intellectual. An intellectual is someone who is educated beyond their own intelligence.
-
Harvard: says it all; not pro DJT. This regime in Iran has had too many years to destroy the ppl in Iran. The wemon lived in hell, then ones who lived to escape are truly grateful and it was time to end this era.
-
I think he doesnt make a strong case about anything. Just vague trump bashing. So sad
-
This and Venezuela are about oil, trade, and leverage
-
It’s impossible to forget how often Sacks lectured about the war in Ukraine. Yet both Sacks and Chamath were busy donating money to Trump. Whether they admit it or not, the consequences of those political choices are real. Deep down, there’s blood on their hands for the people who have died
-
Please don’t start putting ADS in your podcast, I love it the way it is, thank you
-
Consultant. Great Job. Look at the state of the world with these so called experts advising. Even before all of this recent stuff. You’ve destroyed our world
-
Much more objective than the podcast last week
-
It is unbelievable how stupid are some of the Harvard professors with all the empty bs
-
1. Iran told us they had enough material for 11 bombs. 2. Iran told us if anyone attacked them, they would retaliate against the USA. 3. Iran refused any deal that stopped them from developing a nuclear bomb. 4. We knew israel would attack Iran and our loss of life would be high if we started on the back foot.
-
What it means for Taiwan is that for now: we control China’s access to Mideast oil.
-
“If the Middle East was like the UAE, everything would be fantastic for the human beings that live there.” Of course we’re not talking about the migrant worker force that builds the cities on cheap wages and sub par living and unsafe working conditions.
-
I'm glad I read the comments before listening longer than 60 seconds. Onward
-
I hunger for a time where if you have failed in such a public and dynamic way, you are not given a second or third etc chance for which we will indulge in your opinion. You must have at least some evidence of success…
-
Thank you for the historical insight.
-
Please bring Prof John Mearsheimer.
-
Jason: "what would happen if Iran was a democracy?" History: um, actually...
-
Lol...'Bibi is a magician'. Completely convinces me to believe this guy.
-
Thank you guys.
-
Fridberg estimated Iraq at 50m, but they were actually closer to 25m when we invaded them in 2003. We never got the result we wanted out of Iraq; what sense does it make to think we can have success in Iran with 4x the size and 30 years preparing for this war?
-
Harvard, bottom of the barrel
-
What's with the Airwallex ad? Formerly, All-in had a principle of not letting commercial interests take part in the open dialogue.
-
Welcome to another episode of Out of Touch Wealthy Dudes. Next…
-
Giving back is great! Giving to the government is a complete disaster!!!
-
Clear understanding of the situation. Great guest!
-
I'm sorry but this esteemed man is just a bit out of touch I think. I believe you have to weigh in the Maduro, China Oil angle especially with the dark petro dollars that was quiety eroding the US dollar and debasing it. That has to be a huge part of the analysis.
-
Wow. Graham Allison is out-of-touch. At this juncture in his career, he's should look spend more time with the grandkids.
-
This is an establishment argument. He reminds me of George Will, backhanded compliments to the US so he can misinform and act as though he is the only one who understands while ignoring all facts.
-
The top 10% have ALWAYS been the top contributors to our economy, AND the top earners because of that. What socialist/communist BS to say it's "not sustainable." It's the same thing Marx said. These top earners are who built our country... As I learned after leaving grad school: Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach.
-
Very respectful interview - thanks.
-
Brilliant questions. Thanks team.
-
Was that All In’s first ad ever???
-
Starts off saying he saw no proof of iran being a threat.. then later when Jason says "we almost let Iran have nukes" and he replies yes. Then goes on about how its good that the world hasnt had more nuke countries... kinda contradicts his original statement.
-
Presidents should stop printing money if they want to get rid of inflation. The median age of first time buyers of houses is 40 and higher in most big cities.
-
He lost me at we will need our strong allies to take on China, exactly who are our “strong” allies these days? I don’t think China is worried about a single one of our allies militarily. It is just US. We are on our own unless we are relying on strongly worded speeches to protect us then yeah sure we could count on the EU. Our “allies” have completely outsourced their defense to us. The old adage that if it weren’t for us all of Europe would be speaking German right now…we could probably update that to Russian.
-
Let's make some facts straight for Jason as it seems that, typical of the western narrative, he tends to have this selective amnesia when it comes to the very mess we created in the first place. Iran went from having a democratically elected president, to a repressive monarchy that imprisoned, tortured, and killed political dissidents (SAVAK), and eventually to the current authoritarian theocratic regime, which has likewise persecuted and executed dissenters. All of this in the wake of the UK and US-backed coup in 1953. Destroying is easy and fast, building is a different story
-
Calling Canada an ally with heft is delusional. They have more Generals than tanks. They don't pull their weight in NATO and shouldn't be treated like they do. This is a common problem in NATO.
-
Why hit the refinery in Tehran??
-
It sounds like you think a majority of the Maga group is against this move of Trumps when in fact the majority of the mega I believe understand that this war is not just about Iran and the nukes but also about China and oil
-
We should be talking about the importance of Palantir to this war success
-
This premise is wrong! Go look up Achmadinajads speeches at the UN. At the end of his talks he literally prays for the 13 mahdi to make his appearance. This is a fundamentalists outlook from the Islamic theology, where the world has to be in total chaos for their "end of the world" event. They definitely would have used the first nuclear weapon they got to achieve this end. They believe this madhi will bring world peace by turning the entire globe Muslim. This is fact, go translate the UN speeches. Experts from the ivy League is not going to understand this
-
Intellectuals and Billionaires explain the war, while we and our sons do the dying and dealing with the consequences of war all alone.
-
China is elated the US is getting bogged down in another conflict while they’ve been courting allies around the world. To believe XI is shaking in his boots is pure delusion.
-
We were in Afghanistan and Iraq for oil and poppy seeds.
-
Here before they change the title/thumbnail
-
This was a very good grocery store run episode. Ended right as I put the last item in the refrigerator
-
I thought All In was never going to have ad sponsors?
-
It’s not fog of war, Professor. It’s game theory.
-
jasons openclaw created these questions
-
All In crew and viewers may derive much value from Prof Jiang (predictive history YouTube channel) on the current war. Reach out for a guest interview or have him on the show.
-
My favorite is 39:21 ! Boy does he need that teeth fixed 🤣
-
Thanks for podcast
-
"His book, Rethinking Foreign Policy, published in 1976, influenced the foreign policy of the Carter administration" - that alone says a lot ;-)
-
Shalom my name us deboraechabiager
-
I think Tariffs work too
-
The biggest problem for America is the deterioration of its culture vis a vis China, where there is pride and a desire to work hard.
-
Friedburg: let me push back on that - the US is attacking Iran because of the upcoming China US summit Friedburg: let me push back on that - Trump is taking over Greenland because of China’a influence in Danish politics
-
Condalizza Rice is too happy. It's going the way it was planned
-
What kind of map is behind Friedburg?
-
Seconds ago is wild 👀
-
Oh ya sure sure
-
Solid ad read from the Sultan!
-
I'm stopping at 11.45. the guest said that Trump will stop the conflict with Iran so he can focus on the China trip. Seriously?
-
Stanford University Hoover Institute’s Military Historian provides some perspective on unclear, shifting strategic military objectives https://youtu.be/doBQueQ67Ks?si=Cbq4ZJf3AYD9ZWPF
-
What would Iraq War Veteran "Jocko" Willink say during an All In Podcast conversation about Trump’s Iran War Strategy. Betcha having multiple contradictory war objectives, voiced by multiple administration representatives, would fall under some classic military strategy texts to the effect of “the enemy should never know your true objectives, always keep them guessing”. There is also the likely REVENGE objective that all Iraq War Veterans would be 110% supportive of.😎😎😎
-
My yardstick for Trump‘s first term as president dealing with North Korea is a little different than this guys. My American son is raising his family in Japan, closer to Seoul than Tokyo. After Trump‘s trip to North Korea rocket man stop sending missiles into the sea near Japan’s boundary. With Biden, they started up again. You don’t read about it in the news in fact, I’m not sure what the situation is right now but to me, that was a successful trip. I’d like to know this guy’s criteria for an unsuccessful trip.
-
lol @ the billionaires' faces when the guest says billionaires should be taxed more 🤣
-
lol is allin podcast already backpedalling now that this war is looking like a disaster
-
Sorry but what the hell they sponsoring the pods now?
-
Talking about socialism, Nordic countries are WAY MORE socialistic in terms of social welfare than China does. So in that aspect, it won't be China that would influence Denmark (and Greenland) to have more social welfare. Just because China is ruled by CCP, it doesn't mean it's a socialistic country.
-
Hmm. So it appears as though Mr. Allison's past advisory rolls haven't answered many problems.
-
What if it becomes a democracy? WTF, how’s that gonna happen.
-
The Game of Risk Global Map
-
Amazing visit to sit and watch your guys we are 63 and we hear everything you're saying. Thank you for breaking bread at the table. God bless you all ❤
-
You guys are amazing, great interview and discussions!
-
I love the map behind Friedburg where can I find it????
-
what is the background of Friedburg's zoom?
-
Peace > War
-
Indeed great guest, humility 10
-
How nice it would have been had your head not been blocking the part of the map that you were talking about : -|
-
the photo is Roberts B. Owen who is known for his role as the legal adviser to the U.S. State Department during the Iran hostage crisis (1979–1981)
-
Friedberg doesn't get a lot of credit for this but he's very good at asking insightful and thought-provoking questions from guests.
-
Lol, the Risk background is a bold choice, Cotton.
-
21:40 timely analysis by jcal.
-
👏👏👏
-
Entrepreneurs deal in uncertainty.
-
Great conversation, good questions. J Cal- your AI thumbnail was a fail. Almost did not listen because it looked like it was going to be a Tucker like screed.
-
jesus christ what kind of a map is that in the background?
-
Fix map please
-
Over next Friday.🚬🍹🤷🏼♂️
-
as long as there is a supreme leader I do not want to stop...
-
other subject....do you feel "safe" with Flock? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuQqNkYgVqE
-
The separation of objective research from personal advocacy was once a basic scholarly norm. Is that norm still observed at Harvard and comparable institutions?
-
That is one hell of a map behind David. Can't imagine too many people being happy about the way lines are drawn. 💀
-
sorry this guy is awesome
-
Wouldn’t be bragging about influencing secretaries of defense since Kissinger
-
Mr Graham Allison has some good titles, and that's all he's got...
-
Yep. Fellow traveler of the anointed class?
-
What about Trump and 1988, reference to KHARG, Iran, and Today?
-
We should reframe from taxation and redistribution. The obvious solution is to get the national debt under control, increase the limit for non taxable income, do away with loopholes, and drive growth and wages. But we as country remain so divided, and our elites so aloof, that no definitive course of action is pursued.
-
I respect Friedburg so god damn much. It's his intelligence and honesty.

When a neo-con guest is the voice of reason you know the US is down a dark path.
-
We are really doomed.😢
-
13:40 He looks remarkable for being 2,500 years old
-
Pippi Malhgren has a deeper take on Greenland
-
War is unpopular 6-4, listen to the will of the people… Save Act/voter id popular 8-2, ignore the will of the people!!
-
Hey All In you should do is have Susan kokinda from Promethean website and Promethean action interview on your show. You will get a perspective and an education
-
Love how it’s become perfectly acceptable to speak what was an unacceptable truth until recently, namely that the Israelis have astonishing degrees of influence over America’s Middle East foreign policy
-
Harvard professor. Beacon on critical thinking and unbiased opinions
-
Iran before Oct. 7, "were going to destroy Israel, were building thousands of ballistic missiles, were enriching nuclear capabilities", etc...
-
He explains that hitting Iran is a mistake to take out their military and potential nukes but then says North Korea is the greatest threat and we should have never allowed that to happen. I didn't go to Harvard but this is double talk.
-
Could be the best piece of content on this channel
-
Dang maybe we should have more global conflicts they are just cranking episodes 🤣
-
I applaud your efforts to interview as many experts as possible to help us all understand the impact of this crisis. Your program, All IN, is the most important program that the internet is playing. As your popularity shows. And therefore I believe you have a RESPONSIBILITY to interview on this topic!!!! Well done!!!!
-
08:05 reason could be as easy as 'either you help us, or we are going in solo' and since mossad was given a 'no kill' list from cia. Mayve that has some truth
-
Great discussion. One question I have is at what point will Europe and Canada lean more closely to China as their preferred World Power. Canada already had leaned in this direction and the US has been concerned about Europes speaking out of both sides of its mouth with Russia and China. In this scenario, do the Americas become more important?
-
Delulu zone 🤠
-
Education needs to teach kids about investing, assets, entrepreneurship, etc. preparing them for ‘jobs’ is malpractice at this point. Most people don’t invest because they know nothing about it. I found out my mother was poor partly because she just put her money in a savings account. She didn’t know any better.
-
What happened to WW3?
-
Tl dr a lot of 1st 2nd and 3rd concequences can happen but we do not know yet. Also listen to the tone how he speaks about xi purging militairy branch compared to his opinion about usa america and how trump handled it. Is somebody like peter zeihan correct? Also probably not, people have to understand life as a chess game in which every event can and eventually will re shuffle every place after each event
-
Great conversation, but why the misleading clickbait title?
-
One country he didn't mention has those WMDs
-
On manufacturing, it's purely a cost issue. Taiwan had enough robotic manufacturing in the 90s. When China allowed Taiwan to invest in China, almost all robotics engineers across the globe lost their jobs. As a reference, a robotic arm in the 90s cost about $300K USD. Compare to factory worker's pay in China in 2000, it was 200-400RMB/mo. For a robotic arm, you could hire and scale so much. I'd say it's less of an issue relative to other issues. China is no longer cheap manufacturing as it is considered quality (go to ikea and see, made in China is often better than made in elsewhere). China would have the same issue of every other empire, that when economy grow, there's less incentive to work more, which is the case going forward.
-
Another call for bellus interruptus. Can't we just finish what we started for once?
-
Not Kissinger. Harvard blinders. The base of “nation building” a world of models in the holy halls.
-
what hell is the background map? Where to get it?
-
You missed the #1 danger
-
I think you need to revise your map of Canada
-
Great conversation- crappy graphic/title. 😂
-
You did not need to do this, Americans.
-
Friedberg sad that Jason joined
-
"How he persuaded Trump, I have no idea" Literally attempted to kill him and then started slow releasing the Epstein files on him. Trump finally caved and is a totally slave to Bibi
-
The 1% are financing the very innovation that is producing the Professors "wealth". Without them its game over.
