Joe..middle class here. I went without healthcare bc it costs me 847 a month with a 10 grand deductible before anything would be covered. So as middle-class we got screwed. I have friends that would make sure they didn't make too much money on the books so they could afford health insurance. Obamacare screwed the middle-class.

If he thinks the House turning over to Dem control in 2027 would calm things down, he’s living in a fantasy land. They have been saying they will impeach him day 1! These are dangerous people. They have zero credibility and will ramp up the chaos and the violence immediately! Wake up!

Illegal immigrants DO have the ability to receive healthcare. My friend’s mother is the CFO of a medical nonprofit in the DC area making around a $400k salary and her practice services them by the thousands. When the DOGE cuts were made and all contracting dollars were frozen, they had to lay off most of their staff and stop treating them. Anyone who says our tax dollars don’t go towards healthcare for illegals is either ignorant or lying. They don’t go towards healthcare the same doctor’s office you or I do, there are nonprofits and NGOs that exist that employ doctors who treat them.

Great interview. Manchin speaks all common sense, like a Republican, even though I think he is now Independent. I am now a registered Republican, was a lifelong Dem voter, 40+ yrs, but finally my own common sense kicked in and proud to now be a Rep who supports common sense and supports the real American citizen values.

My son pays 2600 a month for healthcare. It needs to be fixed. Emergency rooms are full all the time. It’s horrible if you’re in pain. Open borders, free housing, free food, that’s immoral while citizens are homeless.

I remember earnestly praying for Senator Manchin; I’m a Christian Republican and the Lord strongly laid him on my heart to pray for him. I am so happy to see this interview. When Biden came to GA and gave his speech to the crowd for the GA runoff election and said “vote for Warnock and Osoff and you will get your stimi checks” i got strong elementary school class president vibes. “Vote for me and I will get you all ice cream every day”. Such a great interview... Maybe I am a little different than some! I worked at a motel cleaning rooms. My husband was sick, later down the road he was diagnosed with bone cancer. Sadly he didn't survive it. My boss from the Motel begged me to sign up on this Government plan of unemployment. But I didn't... They never sent me a dime. Moral of my story, common sense and help from above got me through all of this.

I would love to know why he thinks lifers like Pelosi and McConnell choose to stay in their roles even after they lose their leadership positions and are well into their 80s with enough money to have retired at 45. Is it that they want their casket to be hosted in the Rotunda? Do they get a special portrait for years of service? That always made me wonder, because you see Mitch McConnell, who is no longer leader, lost most of his influence, is falling and freezing up all over the place and yet, he’s still showing up to work every day. I know this is his last term, but this has been going on for some time.

What was the incentive for immigrants to not legally enter, too stay and be productive? This is nothing short of changing what America is, what a citizen is.

Joe sold some books and said some reasonable stuff, especially about term limits, and glad he helped stop the Schumer effort to destroy the Republic. I was really unimpressed by his list of "dynamic" Senators on each side, and he sounded foolish when he basically said the Squad and bat boy Hakeem taking back the House would help settle things. Yes Joe, another round of useless Impeachment proceedings by the party that loves political violence will help. Not the independent center-left hero everyone praising him here is pining for, although better than that poser Ro Khanna. Still Joe voted with the Democrats 90% of the time. He thinks the Republicans should cave on pre-Covid spending levels for the good of the country under the guise that something magical will happen with the crazy Democrats over the next two years and they will be overwhelmed with a surge of bipartisan fervor and help the Republicans fix the healthcare system to lower costs. I’ve heard to many times about death threats & other threats of violence coming from a political figures own party over a vote in congress. Kyrsten Sinema was threatened in a bathroom! The news media goes after them HARD with articles like this=> “Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema: the centrists blocking Biden’s agenda” I’ve not once heard of such behavior coming from Republicans against other Republicans orrr the media slam against a Republican for voting with Democrats. I’d hate to be a democrat senator knowing my own party would shoot me dead for voting against their agenda. They are WAYYY out of control & need to be arrested for these threats. In Texas, you don’t register in a particular party. You just choose which primary you want to vote in. That establishes your affiliation for that election. That qualifies you to vote in that party’s runoff if there is one and that qualifies you to attend precinct meetings if you choose to do so. Next time there’s an election it starts over.
