Somehow, JCal is even more obnoxious playing poker.
-
They brought Molly in to distract Friedberg
-
JCal with that douchee look with the cigar while he asks for his cold brew kills me.
-
Jason is chewing his face off, high as a kite!!
-
JCal’s the kinda guy who asks a question and doesn’t listen to your answer
-
Chamath was locked in the whole game 🤣😅 ALL-IN Baby!!
-
This is insane. This is unique. This is fantastic. This is a great gift for viewers of the All-In Pod. Thank You for doing this!
-
Jcal opening loss and the unlit cigar roll was classic. I almost could have predicted it. Love these dudes😂
-
Crazy how the All-In guys act in real life. - Friedberg = gentleman. - J-Cal = nonstop jokes (someone please explain his cigar technique). - Hellmuth is doing a full Monte Carlo simulation in his head. - Chamath = locked-in grinder mode.
-
Chamath takes poker games so seriously as if he’s betting on his family Lol 😂
-
JCal looked deep into founder mode.
-
It was 2:41 before Jason tilted me with that unlit cigar...
-
Feel bad for Jason's cigar....not sure what he is doing with it.
-
We NEED more All-In Poker content, whether it’s monthly, every other month or Quarterly. Of course, bring in Molly to Host and sit at the table 😉 Celebs, poker greats and besties with great conversations and classic stories. Shocked that nobody has syndicated this is a TV show or Sponsored on YouTube. I’d watch all of it 🙏
-
Ironic jcal accusing Helmuth of “making it about himself.”
-
Wasn’t expecting this but much appreciated
-
Friedberg tells Jcal to not tell the story then Molly shows up and starts firing off the story himself. So funny how a beautiful girl changes how they all act. Great hyper turbo format though. They should do a podcast like this with the weekly topics. Loved that Hendon Mob shoutout too. 😂
-
Can you guys push your chips in closer and save the dealers back‼
-
Does Jcals jaw always pop like that?
-
Friedberg the only gentlemen , you stand up when a lady enters the room!
-
Is Jason NOT SMOKING this cigar toy of his?
-
You can always tell when Friedberg has had a drink or two before the cameras come on… 😊
-
Chamath seems so nice off pod lol
-
Just curious. Why does JCal keep opening his mouth every 30 seconds? By that I mean the literal mouth motion, not the act of speaking. I noticed him doing that during TWIST episodes way back in 2010.
-
Friedburg spitting game
-
I always enjoyed watching their poker go videos from back in the day so this was nice to see. Would like more of this!
-
Does Chamath wear anything else??
-
Has JCal legally changed his first name to Mark? Plays poker like one.
-
JCal's cigar isn't lit. I'm not a cigar guy...is that a thing??
-
when i first found this show i thought it was about poker, i stayed anyways but 2 years later here we are!
-
Why are some cards not shown?
-
Nothing destroys a man like success
-
Chamath is really really good at poker. People don’t get it. I’m not even a Chamath fan, but man, he can really play a complete game
-
why is JCAL just holding that PADRON, the saliva got all over it, effectively destroyed the cigar!
-
Chamath dialed in. Limped in on that triple. Really cool seeing the fast action
-
guys you should hire gabe kaplan to narrate the game
-
That was a surprisingly fun and entertaining watch. 3 fish and 3 pros yum yum.
-
Jason is a D1 hater of Hellmuth. Its so funny
-
What is jcal doing with his mouth?
-
HELLMOUTH .😊
-
I been waiting for an episode like this.🎉
-
More of these I love poker
-
Chamath hates that he likes JCal 🤣🤣
-
Feedback: cash game or longer torment format so it's dosent feel so rushed (like they were deciding which story to tell or not bc of time) and reasonable audio (too loud side conversations and ppl drinking/ice), and it's perfect.
-
Great game Chamath!
-
JCal is that guy who you laugh along cos he has money and potential influence and then you spend a week hating yourself after
-
14:00 yeah don’t do a close up on Hellmuth anymore. Now I can’t unsee that cold sore…
-
Jcal jaw jacking with underbite entire game? Blowfish?
-
This is awesome please do more of these!
-
I just want to comment. I know nothing about poker
-
Good observation from chamath about Phil not playing 3 street hands. Probably very exploitable? Can bet him for value when you have a monster by checking the flop (like he did). And can probably bluff him by betting flop and turn hard
-
You need to break out the tequila
-
Friedberg - you fold your hands tightly everytime you have a great card 😂
-
nobody talking about Jcal jawing out this whole game ? lol
-
Chamath was playing to win from jump and Friedberg threw the game to spit game on Molly 😂😂
-
This was fun to watch, entertaining stuff lol
-
Can’t believe I missed it
-
Fun episode
-
Phil just cant keep his eyes off of Molly 😂😂 51:01
-
This is fun
-
Thanks a lot. I didn't expect such a surprise)
-
Fear rewarded lmao 🤣
-
slowest screen updates in the history of televised poker, maybe we need to raise money for these guys....
-
Don't we want to know the bet amounts????????????
-
Polymarket: JCal apologizing for a comment at the expense of Phil.
-
That is the largest poker table I’ve ever seen
-
this is so entertaining, I dont know why when I play poker with people its pretty quiet and time flies by
-
Need more poker content!
-
So they don’t show some hands sometimes? I notice sometimes one of the hands are not revealed
-
And these guys give Weekly knowledge to the USA. I wonder 😂
-
BEST PODAST 😂
-
Poker-wise, I didn't understand a word. We all think we're Friedberg in that sort of situation, but we're all really JCal.
-
What amount of not interested the in the stats do you need for it to be communicated ‘we are not interested’
-
I'm starting to think J-Cal actually lost all the weight going founder mode
-
"is adidas one of your sponsors," lmao. he should be sponsored by Valtrex.
-
Poor dealer has to get up all the time with that big ass table.😅
-
Friedberg gets up and walks over to ask the staff to go and get Molly lol. After the interview, seems obvious they’ve got a little thing going on
-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQmGYMy79IU
-
Wtf is Calacanis doing with that cigar? Lol. What a weird guy.
-
Omg. 2 of the best deep stack players in the world and they start with less than 100 Big Blinds. This is the equivalent of making Otani play baseball with a hallow plastic ball and plastic bat....
-
Thank you all for all your hard work!
-
That was kind of fun to watch❤
-
From same hometown as Molly Loveland, CO. Went to same High school as her 💯 Love Boulder Sko Buffs!
-
That was interesting. You guys are good players! Way to go Chamath.
-
I want more of these
-
I agree playing for 14 hours and having to come back on day 2 on the bubble is brutal absolutely brutal ‼
-
Anyone know what the buy ins and payouts were?
-
This the podcast I wanted you to watch, all billionaires, Alan playing poker with them
-
The Barber Shop is still popular well the cosmo is my favorite ❤
-
Poker is where it all started!
-
Me too I’m in Boulder co
-
OH I SEE THE BETS NOW!
-
Great line up gentlemen
-
This is really cool
-
Tournament with a forced straddle would be the way to make a gambling frenzy
-
this is a cool format
-
Well played. Great call on Phil.
-
Fun times
-
Just curious: what are you considering low stakes to learn mixed games?
-
Play Omaha if you want more luck involved lol 😂
-
Beautiful
-
Somebody needs to custom make the Dracula outfit for Chamath for the next match. Just for shits n giggles
-
JCal, may I kindly recommend a Davidoff Signature 2000 or possibly a Davidoff Gran Cru. Both are highly enjoyable lit and unlit (and are much more camera pleasing than what you were rolling around)... Just a hint from a big fan
-
if you created some rooms in TX, lets call them Molly's Room, and you ran them with the attention to detail that you put into your home games you would absolutely knock it out of the park.
-
Is this Texas hold them?
-
only played one hour?
-
I actually enjoyed this content
-
JGal 😂, Jesus, what a table. Dam that's hard to handle
-
Insane
-
What is Jason doing with that cigar??
-
All in poker.
-
messing with chamath at 10:00, and somehow making him feel good about himself.
-
Stu would let the best jin players see the bottom card which was a huge advantage and would still beat them.
-
nice calling out this meditation soulreader there
-
Cool of them to pay respects to Stu Unger and tell his story a bit
-
FOUNDER MODE 🎉🎉🎉
-
chamath on fire!
-
analysis: Based on the breakdown of the *"All-In Bestie Invitational Tournament"* featuring the Besties (Chamath Palihapitiya, Jason Calacanis, David Friedberg) against pros Phil Hellmuth, Alan Keating, and Jason Koon, here is an analysis of each player's strengths and weaknesses based on their cards and gameplay. ### *Tournament Overview* The game was a 6-handed "Turbo" Sit & Go with a rapid structure, designed to induce action. The lineup consisted of *Chamath Palihapitiya**, **David Friedberg**, and **Jason Calacanis* vs. **Phil Hellmuth**, **Alan Keating**, and **Jason Koon**. (David Sacks was absent/arriving late). --- ### *1. Chamath Palihapitiya (The Winner)* *Result:* *1st Place* *Key Hand:* *Pocket Kings (K-K)* vs. Alan Keating in the final hand. * *Gameplay:* Chamath played a balanced, aggressive game. He applied pressure when necessary and trusted his strong hands at the end. He notably discussed strategy ("checking the flop on the button") to exploit Phil Hellmuth's tendencies. * *Strengths:* * *Strategic Adaptation:* He adjusted his play against specific opponents, noting that Hellmuth "never plays a three-street hand," allowing him to bluff or pot-control effectively. * *Composure:* In the final hand **[[59:48](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qG4gaIGXaK4&t=3588)]**, he held *Pocket Kings* against Koon. The board ran out with an **8 in the window**, and Chamath’s hand held up. He didn't overplay early but capitalized when he had the goods. * *Weaknesses:* * *Over-analysis:* At times, he can get caught up in "leveling" wars (thinking about what the opponent thinks he has), but in this fast structure, it didn't cost him. ### *2. Alan Keating (The Maniac / Runner-Up)* *Result:* *2nd Place* (Likely, as he was the last eliminated by Chamath) *Key Hand:* *2-4 Offsuit* vs. Phil Hellmuth’s **Ace-Ten**. * *Gameplay:* Keating played his signature "Loose Aggressive" (LAG) style, playing almost any two cards to create action and confuse opponents. * *Strengths:* * *Fearlessness:* He played *2-4 offsuit* against Phil Hellmuth **[[32:33](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qG4gaIGXaK4&t=1953)]**, calling a raise and eventually making a flush (diamonds) to eliminate Phil. This unpredictability makes him impossible to read. * *Resilience:* He survived multiple all-ins, including a hand where he had *7-7-7* (Trip Sevens) and another where he held *4-J* and hit a draw/pair to stay alive **[[54:16](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qG4gaIGXaK4&t=3256)]**. * *Weaknesses:* * *Too Loose:* His willingness to play "trash" hands like 2-4o is high variance. While it worked against Phil, it often bleeds chips and puts him in marginal spots where he has to get lucky to survive. ### *3. Phil Hellmuth (The First Bust)* *Result:* *6th Place (First Out)* *Key Hand:* *Ace-Ten* vs. Keating’s **2-4 Offsuit**. * *Gameplay:* Phil played his typical "White Magic" style—tight and reading-based—but was quickly tilted by Keating's erratic play. * *Strengths:* * *Starting Hand Selection:* He stuck to premium/strong hands (like **A-10**) and tried to get money in good. * *Weaknesses:* * *Tilt Management:* He completely lost his composure after losing to Keating’s 2-4o **[[32:40](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qG4gaIGXaK4&t=1960)]**. The commentary noted the "over/under was 7 minutes until tilt," and he hit the under. * *Passive vs. Aggro:* He allowed Keating to see a flop with a garbage hand, which is dangerous against a player who will chase any draw. ### *4. David Friedberg (The Tight Folder)* *Result:* *Eliminated Mid-Game* *Key Hand:* *Jack-Nine* (J-9) on a Jack-high board. * *Gameplay:* Friedberg played a "scared money" or very conservative game, dubbed the "Quiet Killer" but ultimately too passive. * *Strengths:* * *Patience:* He waited for spots and didn't splash chips around unnecessarily. * *Weaknesses:* * *Over-Folding:* In a critical hand **[[25:06](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qG4gaIGXaK4&t=1506)]**, he folded *Jack-Nine* (likely top pair or a strong draw) to aggression. The table reaction ("He folded the winner!", "He crushed me") suggested he folded the best hand due to fear of being beaten, which is fatal in a tournament. ### *5. Jason Calacanis (The Survivor)* *Result:* *Eliminated Mid/Late-Game* *Key Hand:* *King-Jack* (K-J) and **A-6**. * *Gameplay:* Calacanis played a short-stack survival game. He was described as having a "toddler mentality" (unpredictable/stubborn). * *Strengths:* * *Survival Instinct:* He managed to *triple up* with *Jack-high* (or a similar weak holding that hit) when he was short-stacked **[[42:10](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qG4gaIGXaK4&t=2530)]**, keeping him in the game longer than expected. * *Weaknesses:* * *Short Stack Play:* He was constantly low on chips, forcing him to shove with marginal hands like *K-J* and *A-6* just to stay alive, rather than maneuvering post-flop. ### *6. Jason Koon (The Pro)* *Result:* *Eliminated Mid-Game* *Key Hand:* "Queen Blocker" hand. * *Gameplay:* Koon played a solid, GTO (Game Theory Optimal) style but appeared "card dead" (didn't get playable hands). * *Strengths:* * *Theoretical Knowledge:* He discussed blockers ("I had a queen blocker") **[[55:23](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qG4gaIGXaK4&t=3323)]**, showing his high-level thinking process. * *Weaknesses:* * *Card Distribution:* Even the best players can't win without cards. He didn't seem to get the "big hands" (Aces/Kings) like Chamath did, and in a turbo tournament, he couldn't out-skill the variance. ### *Summary* * *Chamath Palihapitiya* won by balancing aggression with strong hands (Kings). * *Alan Keating* created chaos with garbage hands (2-4o) but fell short. * *Phil Hellmuth* played tight but couldn't handle the "bad beat" from Keating. * *David Friedberg* played too scared and folded a winning hand. http://googleusercontent.com/youtube_content/0
