I had to laugh out loud when Jensen talked about driving job loss…”you will keep your chauffeur because he’s more than a driver, he’s your assistant…” Uhhh…I guess you can’t blame a multi-multi billionaire for being completely out of touch, but what percentage of drivers are chauffeurs? Pretty frickin’ small percentage in the vast majority of working class people who are driving for a living.

  • @drdave3676 · 4 likes Mar 26, 2026

Jensen’s role as CEO of the most valuable company in the world is critically important to US leadership into the future. That said, his wisdom and maturity and intellect and global view also lend itself toward him being an incredible future President of the United States. That said, others experiences with DOGE, together with recognizing Jensen’s role in leading Nvidia is hugely valuable, perhaps makes this speculation moot.

Jensen masterfully outlines the technical infrastructure of the next economy, but the social implications in our opinion, even more profound. What he describes as the inference explosion, Physical AI, the agentic future—isn't just a new industrial revolution; it's the final one. These are the technologies that render the very concept of necessity-compelled human employment structurally obsolete. When intelligence and physical labor become autonomous infrastructure, the economic foundation of wage-based society dissolves entirely. This is not speculation; it is the logical endpoint of the trajectory Huang himself lays out. This is why the importance of discussion of advice to young people, while it is well intentioned, remains anchored to the old economic paradigm that is already at the ending time. The terminal point of this arc isn't the advice "how to excel as a worker in an AI-augmented world", it is the complete elimination of wage labor or job itself. The AGI economy will not transform human employment; it will render the entire category unnecessary. Our (Zero Work Theory) timeline for this transition is not decades away, but 3 to 5 years. The final generation of wage laborer is alive today. The immediate policy question, therefore, is not about retraining for roles that will not exist, nor about reskilling into obsolescence. It is about managing the transition to a post-labor economy with foresight and dignity. Our AGI Mandate UBI research demonstrates that under the present US economic model, around $1,500 monthly ($20,000 annual) Universal Basic Income per citizen is not merely financially feasible, it is rather structurally essential. In fact, it is the only mechanism capable of maintaining aggregate demand, social cohesion, and human agency as we decouple purpose from the payroll. The future Huang is building is one of breathtaking abundance. Our collective responsibility now is to ensure the social architecture matches the technological one. Zero Work is not a threat to be feared nor a utopian abstraction—it is the inevitable and necessary destination of this technological arc. The only question that remains is whether we navigate toward it with wisdom, intentionality, and the courage to embrace what comes next, or whether we cling to the wreckage of a human labor economy long after it has ceased to serve us.

God damn he's so good at dodging questions. He successfully avoided three pitfalls in this interview that most people would have got stuck on and or blundered. He put like no emotional stake into any of them and he just kept it strictly about building the company and the illusion that the company is doing excellence. Even though this war is extremely bad for Nvidia and compute in general. Also there was no hard ball or questions about you know the drivers being AI made or vibe coded and them failing completely This first quarter

  • @vakeesanmahalingam4078 May 31, 2026

Most teams measure model quality and forget the expensive part is the retry loop. A run receipt is only useful if it says why the next attempt is still allowed.

  • @capnron65 May 26, 2026

Most of you have alluded to this already, but messaging is of paramount importance. You guys are operating and thinking on a whole other level -- don't leave us mere mortals behind -- communicate the vision of how our everyday lives are made better.

  • @vakeesanmahalingam4078 May 19, 2026

The boardroom version of the agent story is usually "faster software teams", but the operator version is "who owns runtime governance when retries and tool calls start compounding quietly?" The biggest win for us has been hard spend caps plus explicit stop reasons so a run can fail cleanly instead of looking productive while it burns time and credits. Curious how many teams here are actually instrumenting that layer yet.

Is Jensen stepping in, in timely fashion, just as Buffett is stepping away? On another interview Jensen said he would not mind paying the wealth tax if California asks for it because he loves California and loves his country.. Brought to mind Buffett who said he gladly paid his taxes because he is happy to pay back to his America. Yes, Jensen is the steward we need as Buffett pulls back. It is wonderful to have a new voice that weaves together deep expertise with broad social vision. (P.S. I will likely vote against the CA wealth tax but could see a wealth tax being pat of a national solution to resolve debt while sustaining and improving education and health care).
