The Eye though
-
Chamath knows a lot about liquidity events for insiders after going public
-
Audio only episode
-
Curious to know reptilians are very fluent.
-
Chamath looks like a gently microwaved Tootsie Roll (no hate I think he’s cool)
-
The fact that everyone can't just invest as they want just shows that it was a closed club. This is disgusting. They always use wanting to protect us as a reason to keep us poor and sick.
-
Paul is doing some much better than dirty Gary. Plus he is shows up with the laser eye. My guy.
-
We’re getting robbed
-
Not a fan of this new Terminator
-
yippe! can't wait to be someone's exit liquidity!
-
What did we miss? Chamath is red as a beat! Btw - I freak'n appreciate Chamath 's take on things, so grounded. (I'm not referencing Mr. Atkins' injury. Sincerely hope his eye heals up quickly and wish him the best of health)
-
what happened to his eye???
-
"... now for my eye eye drops." " OH GOD ..! Goddamn it, I forgot I put the Ghost chilli extract in that bottle..!"
-
Gentleman sounds way younger than he looks. Decided not to go Macron with the shades 😎
-
PFOF is a bunch of illegal activities going on untouched! I watched a purchase of shares thru Robinhood not show up in the chart then used public app which is not on PFOF and I saw my transaction go thru !! Buys are not going thru the lit exchange thru PFOF !! What about all the illegal “naked shorts” that are happening ?! There is not proper policing going on … PFOF is illegal in some countries but not ours? So we don’t pay the $10 per transaction anymore so PFOF can push retail buys thru the dark pools and not the lit exchange … sounds corrupt to me !!!
-
Most of us Americans don't have any money to invest... we're broke if you didn't get the memo
-
The only reason you want to change accreditation rules is to open VC/PE investments to more capital. More capital=lower future returns
-
Great episode, very informative 👌🏻
-
Correct me if I’m wrong but the accuracy of ai to predict the market is based on the data from the past. Once the ai predictions are the chief reason for future trades the outcomes will be based with the overreactions of the ai prediction s and acting based on them.
-
Omg the Terminator
-
Paper trading is something I wish I’d took part in first
-
I love that JCal takes this pod so friggin’ seriously lol Chamath is about to explode laughing. So funny!😂
-
Someone seems to be straining hard trying to keep the markets up.
-
Thank you both very much much for having the integrity and hard work to make this challenging job under control and regulated for the country’s future prosperity🙏🫡💯
-
This may have been a great show but this is unwatchable after 3 mins due to obvious reasons.
-
Oh man, that voice. Plus the eye...wtf is going on here?
-
Would have sat this one out if I were Chamath 🤣
-
34:49 I like this guy. He's practical
-
Thanks for this discussion.
-
Eye patches are very distinctive, and can be practical.
-
You gentlemen have a huge task and full plate I’m sure at all times. Respect to both of you gentlemen 🫡

Getting rid of private equity being the kingmaker and fair rules for crypto. I love these men.

Naked shorting in small caps is a BIG issue. Citadel etc...

Starting my own S&P 500

Interesting
-
What a wonderful show! I hope you can do more interviews with Mr. Atkins and Mr. Selig. They are excellent guests.
-
2009 Liberal Bitcoin concept is dead.. can just as well use the regular dollar now and buy physical gold as the only private zero counterparty risk asset
-
Every single person here deserves to swing. We should pull them out of their homes & make it happen. Their children can stay in the renovated warehouses...
-
Come on. WTF.
-
Finally we are able to put faces of the people who are going to gate us, devalue our holdings, and tell us how they saved us from doom😮.

10:00 Any founder would have to be an absolute moron to put their company on the public market. Between blackrock, state street and financial manipulation the entire market is rigged. It's anything but a free market or a competitive market. It's a highly controlled market by a small cartel of extremely well-funded individuals operating everyone else's retirement funds against their own interests. Investment regulations will Not solve the problems in the market. The SEC did nothing of any meaning about Robin Hood whatsoever. Until the regulators start actually regulating and stop acting like enforcement for the cartels you would have to be an absolute moron to put your company public. Just look at the PE of these companies. Look at how much is spent on management. Your company will just be captured by management and run into being not profitable This concept of like focus of materiality and all of these like vague terms he's giving sound great but mean absolutely nothing. The idea of doing something about activist shareholders is nice. But will not resolve the overall influence capture and entryism that happens broadly across Wall Street to push ideological agendas. The entire regulatory agency just needs to be wiped and restarted at this point. Like there's no reason to have any faith in them whatsoever
-
When exactly did men lose low, strong voices? Sorry to the guy with the blown out eye, but I would take that vs sounding like a chipmunk. No offense intended.
-
REG A!!! Increase, or remove the limits! The survivorship bias arguments against this show a total lack of understanding of the market…saying that “the current limits do not add friction over existing frictions”. The fact is, with current limits, the issuers who could and would use it don’t even try or start, so the conclusions are clearly flawed. JOBS Act class of securities has SO MUCH more potential to fix what this pod claims to address, but legacy financial interests see it as competition, so again, money wins.

In the edge that is gained based on privileged knowledge, especially if my opinion, I guarantee about the ones placing a money who wouldn’t be benefited after Malcolm should be punished, very harshly in publicly

My four favorite A.I. personalitys

Needs a pirate patch too cover the left eye

I have problems with the hedges, shots etc? I believe when you doing business in the exchanges. Buyers must buy shares, and hold them for say six months, and unwind them over a period of time. Looking at one company Panlantir, their shares a short daily, sell in the 3rd floor and buy on the 5th floor, and me a small invested is whipped sawed. 401k are brutalized, by The Black Rock, Vanguard, Chase, etc.

Trying not to say Hyperliquid difficulty: HARDEST. 😂😂

Soo many sidequests!!!
-
Here's what it means: exit liquidity
-
What the SEC did to Tesla was off sides. Completely Unacceptable. Corporate law in the US favours the powerful. Again completely unacceptable. If you loose a court case you have to carry the can. US law crushes the start up and only benefits the incumbent elite.
-
FOR the Comments…spicy afk lately 😂
-
All markets are subject to some degree of manipulation. Gonna ban all markets?
-
All these initiatives sounds good, but if the very blatant corruption and financial crimes are not fixed, anything new will be compromised.
-
VC is trying to offload. They are looking for an exit ramp. They are loosening the rules to get retail to buy in. For the love of God DO NOT. Do research on the private equity markets. Look at the number of LPs trying to leave these funds. Just stay in cash or buy something more useful like SPY etf, gold, or even Bitcoin. I subscribe to what Mark Spitznagel and Nassim Taleb have been saying, markets will enter a euphoric state (VC dumps, IPOs) but it will eventually crash. I am more conservative in my investments than ever before.
-
Jason it ain't even Friday yet what the fuck are yall doing.
-
Right at the cusp of achieving T0... We may even need to build in speed bumps to prevent fraud and things like that. But for many and some instruments it may not be possible ☠ https://youtu.be/el6ObB60Fb4?si=LloXk-ysXKx3xbmA&t=651
-
Eye is just a subconjunctival hemorrhage (ie. Like a bruise) FYI
-
Isn't every bet susceptible to manipulation?😅😂
-
Move to trimestral reporting Every 4 months
-
Finally a decent broadcast that doesn't discuss the madness of the TACO regime.. thanks
-
0 for eye 1 for voice What bothered you more? I started as an eye guy, but quickly turned voice.
-
If Chamath can take money from SPAC investors so graciously under current stringwnt regulations, I'd say just open the gates for everyone to scam anyone.
-
someone get that man an exodus
-
25:55 oops this regulator does not sound like somebody who’s going to actually regulate things. It sounds like a partisan fox guarding the henhouse.
-
The masses need to listen to this podcast.❤️🇦🇺
-
Thank you!
-
Groundbreaking conversation!!
-
it was funny to listen to the outro: "I'm going all in". 😅😝💥
-
Someone flew the "red eye" airplane and got there in the morning without sleep.

The eye. It’s hard to hide now 😂
-
Specially, now with the technology in the pharmaceutical companies as far as fast market share changes much more than sears which I believe was the first public future value prediction not being a factory but retailer
-
6:45 Vanilla Ice brother? Feel me?
-
People please by nice. He seems like a kind old man!
-
Why do I have this urge to watch Terminator now 🤔
-
Oh the dragon is back
-
I do think it’s a good idea of going in quarter to every six months as far as reports I see it’s just a way for the insiders to make an inside investment.
-
Grok: Can you give me bullet point summary removing all hot air and corporate word salads?
-
Tell us how dumping regulations will help investors trying to get out of their private equity investments?
-
the Insiders Episode

Could you ask Chair Atkins if it is normal for the SEC to release 21 FOIAs related to MMTLP from 1821 requests since Jan 2023?
-
Every day-you don't mind if I turn that radio off- do you!??
-
Money investment schools and charities that are owned by banks??? What happens?
-
They claim that the rules are to protect the common people, when they really protect the elite from the common people.
-
34:30 cause it’s fixed 😂
-
Administrative services?
-
💪
-
Gensler knew.
-
...are they policing Congress's insider trading?...
-
This is easy. Prediction markets require in the ui that whoever puts forth a prediction must also include "anti-fraud" citations and Notes. Can't post otherwise
-
Separation of dispersions of fundings per national involvement?
-
Investm not in whole life although now , no to borrow against that and has to be against the small growth acct

I see that- yet , a NEW CAR - only if you win the lottery

Interview with Terminator
-
SEC should go to trimesteral reporting Every 4 months I think would be a better interval for companies to report earnings
-
Mike Selig just oozes sleaziness and seems to have mastered the ability to talk a lot without saying anything concrete.
-
No doctor..but get that eye looked at! His first sentence shouda said something.
-
Once Stargate project completes, that's the very EYE they are going to install in the middle of the data centre.
-
A lot of insider trading information going on
-
Why not NYC protests in Canada and S.America?
-
please fix chamath's setup so when he hits his desk it doesn't cause booming sounds!
-
USA citizens, 👍
-
I'm glad Bitcoin came into existence and went unnoticed for a while prior to the advent of the "crypto community." At least we still have access to a decentralized, scarce digital property
-
33:33 we don’t need any accreditation to gamble or buy shares in the stock market, why should we need it to get access to IPOs? Additionally why should we have to take a test? It’s our money, if we’re dumb enough to lose it then let us. If people could not lose all their money in the stock market but could in venture capital then I understand why there might be limitations, but that’s not the case so let us do what we want.
-
Hit those extreme high notes: Africa
-
Can you ask Chair Atkins if it is normal for the SEC to slow walk an S1 on a private company for 3 years asking for 5 revisions and updated financial statements draining the company funds and delaying their ability to raise capital. He probably knows the company name…if he’s stumped the company name is Next Bridge Hydrocarbons.
-
Quarterly versus annual reporting to help increase IPOs? Are we really talking about reducing transparency to help increase the number of newbies people can buy into?
-
Do a podcast addressing the EMAILS jason??? You know the GMAX and JEFFREY emails???
-
When Joe Kennedy Sr. Was offered stock advice from the shoeshine boy he went back to the office and said it’s time to get out of the market!
-
Blockchain was never required for Day0.
-
this one was a snoozefest
-
Chances of that? Millions to one
-
Who do you think punched Paul Atkins, who has been in government since the 90's?
-
Chamath is GLOWINGGGG with this apocalypse 😂😂😂
-
True. The rules — which are timeless…a predatory speculation scheme is easy to spot, unless you’re being paid to not see it — should be tightened to cover crypto. But somehow I don’t think that’s what these guys are talking about.
-
Ragging on the prior admin doesn’t help your cause if you fail to acknowledge WHY they took action against prediction markets and why people are concerned about the current admin’s choices w things like moving venezuelan oil money overseas without oversight . I thot these bodies were supposed to put country over party to keep enforcement fair for all?
-
Solana
-
Yeah the regular guy can’t invest early when it’s private, gotta be an “accredited investor” I gotta have X amount of assets or money, to invest in certain securities, if I have them today I’m good, if I sell them tomorrow, I can’t, what’s changed, it’s fucking bullshit.
