Friedburg is just an excellent interviewer. Calm, knowledgeable, kind and asks great questions.
-
So much better than the Main Stream Media’s take on the situation in Venezuela. Thank you David.
-
"Those who offer to give you for free what you need to get on your own through hard work, in the end, end up charging you your most valuable asset: Your freedom. Your your capacity to decide. To make your own decisions." Holy crap. This woman is truly deserving of the prize and so much more!

As a Venezuelan living in Colombia, having this conflict VERY close to home. Both in my family and everyday life let me give you Americans some facts: 1.US Sanctions are not to blame for our tragedy. 2.She won, legit won, primaries in Venezuela against many odds. 3.And then she won, through Mr. Gonzalez, the presidency and all that is involved. 4. The Venezuelan "government" you see on TV have been working for more than 20 years in illicit activities including drug trafficking. Again, OUR military is trafficking. Imagine what is involved: human trafficking, children being abused, money being used to buy the entire chain of people responsible, hunger and literally no law in our country, etc. Many Latin americen polititians have been bought with oil and drugs. Colombian Petro included. The magnitud of what you are seeing now with your army and the nobel prize is something you will not understand from off comments on the internet. You are very welcome to do research starting by talking to actual venezuelans. Finally yes, we are very grateful for the US army pressure on the regime. We will gladly take our reserves from China and give them to you. The end.

What a powerful interview. Thank you to David Friedberg and María Corina Machado for bringing this to light.
-
Thank you, Dave. Loyal Besties fan since early 2021, legal Cuban Exile since 1968, Naturalized Citizen and raised mostly in Miami. (Where Venezuelans also fled to, legally.) This lady is a gem. ❤ Thank you. So much to say about this topic
-
Maria Corina thanks for detailing what have been going on in Venezuela for the last 26 years
-
Here is the timeline of what has happened to Venezuela: Venezuela timeline to destruction 1992: Failed coup attempts by Hugo Chávez** (Feb/Nov). Pardoned in 1994; launches political career. * The economy was already in decline post-1980s oil crash. 1998: Chávez elected (56%) on an anti-corruption, anti-neoliberal platform. Oil = $10/barrel. 1999: New Bolivarian Constitution via referendum—expands presidential powers, enables reelection. 2001: 49 "enabling laws" passed—land reform, hydrocarbon law increases state take from 16% to 33%. 2002–2003: PDVSA strike → Chávez fires 19,000 workers; production never recovers. 2004: Barrio Adentro launches (Cuban doctors); private healthcare strained but not banned. 2005: Land expropriations begin (~6 million hectares seized by 2011). Media law threatens closures for "disrespect." 2006: Reelected; shifts arms purchases to Russia ($4 billion+ deals). 2007: Nationalizations wave**—electricity (Electricidad de Caracas), telecom (CANTV), cement, steel. Exxon/Conoco exit after refusing majority state control in Orinoco Belt. 2007: Public universities reinforced as free; new Bolivarian University system created. 2009: Term limits abolished (referendum). Gun control law passed (full civilian ban by 2012). 2012: Chávez reelected (last term); *price controls expanded* via the Cenopres system. 2013: Chávez dies; **Nicolás Maduro wins disputed election**. Oil = $100+/barrel, but GDP is already contracting. 2014: Anti-gov protests**—43 deaths (HRW); Leopoldo López imprisoned. Inflation hits 69%. 2015: Opposition wins National Assembly (first check on power). 2016: Economic emergency**—shortages of food/medicine; 80% poverty (ENCOVI survey). 2017: Maduro's Constituent Assembly dissolves opposition legislature. UN: 1.5 million emigrants since 2014. 2018: Maduro "reelected" (boycotted); hyperinflation peaks. UN: 2+ million fled since 2014. 2019: Guaidó interim presidency claim; US sanctions on PDVSA. 2020–2025: GDP shrinks 75% since 2013; 7.7 million refugees (UNHCR 2025). The timeline reflects **self-inflicted socialist mismanagement**, not just external factors. Oil revenue was squandered on patronage while productive capacity was destroyed. Oh how this is a cautionary tale for the USA and any other country to understand and not do. Socialism has been tried and tried again, and it has failed every single time.

Maria Corina is one of the bravest women to have fought tirelessly for Venezuela’s freedom. History will remember her as its true liberator❤

Biggest crossover since Avengers: End Game.

Wow! Such an incredibly important story! Sharing this far and wide. Godspeed Venezuela 🇻🇪
-
She is a warning to Canada. The rest of the world. As Gretzky says “skate to where the puck in going, not where it is”
-
Thank you so much David Friedberg for always speaking truth and bringing common sense to a clearly dysfunctional media environment. Socialism is a cancer and must be treated or our freedom will die. I know you do this as a service to your fellow citizens and so many of us owe you a great debt of gratitude.
-
She did win the election guys! It's not propaganda!
-
CIAllin podcast. Good stuff
-
Great effort Friedberg.. looks like you've the only Beastie that cares about these things.

-
Important interview. Thank you. I learned a lot.
-
Thank you for asking about Venezuelan history, and the explanation of María Corina is excellent ❤
-
Venezuela is one of the best examples of why socialism is a death blow to a nation.
-
Friedburg carries this pod. He needs his own side-pod for us science nerds.
-
Thank you for this. She is very courageous.
-
David, as a Venezuelan living abroad, I'd like to thank you deeply for providing Maria Corina with an opportunity to tell the Venezuelan story. I don't ever miss one of your podcasts and interviews, and this has been truly a great interview. We need everyone to know how we got to this point, as well as it's extremely valuable to pass our message to the american public --> "Socialism leads to slavery". Could't agree more with that statement. American politics and society aren't perfect, no one is saying that, but it's a system that has created the best/strongest nation in the world - don't let socialism in, it will destroy the American system from within. Thank you David, and thanks to the All-In crew for making this interview happen!
-
Maria expressed what I’ve said for many years: that socialism/communism promises the seductive lie of total equality which always results in soul-crushing misery and poverty for its trapped citizens. This is an inevitability, not a fluke, a feature, not a bug, and the reason is simple. People are infinitely varied in their talents, ambitions, interests, goals, work ethic, etc. It’s impossible to raise everyone UP to the same level of achievement, productivity, status, so the only “equality” available is to crush everyone DOWN to the same level of fear and deprivation, which is achievable only through brutal oppression.
-
Fantastic interview, and so very well timed. Thank you!❤❤
-
One of the greatest women and represents the many ideals and strength of Latin America
-
Great show! Thank you, David, for taking the time to do this interview.

-
The world's best moderator... Change my mind.
-
Bro they got the Nobel peace price winner!?!
-
Wow! That was great!
-
FOLKS, You've heard a 21rst century narration from someone who has lived the experience lived by millions since the scourge of Socialism/Marxism began enslaving populations through out the world! AMERICA...if we fail us and the generations to come, just were in the world do we go for freedom?
-
Why do social leaders like Chavez and Maduro become so popular if the country was so prosperous? Could it be that it was NOT prosperous for the majority of the population? Then when they do decide the wealth should go to the people, the US hits them with sanctions, inflation, destabilizing the country until they can install new leadership that will distribute wealth back to the top and to the US
-
We love you, Friedberg! Pls keep it up! Not partisan. Not lacking in knowledge. Not derisive & prideful. None of the weaknesses that Friday's episodes have in spades, with the added benefit of genuine curiosity, courtesy, and care for guests. Bravo Friedberg.
-
This is an amazing story. I realize how little I know of the world. I am grateful that I am in US. Thank you for this eye opening information
-
We are witnessing history. More than 20 years ago she was the first to announce Cuban control of chavizmo (Venezuelan Chavez-Maduro regime). With intelligence and grace, she has fought (for years!) for the truth and earned credibility, respect, support, and affection. People of Venezuela will be forever grateful for her leadership and dedication to regain democracy, and more importantly, will never see socialism in our homeland again!
-
Now I know, Thank You
-
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌wow, as a American-Venezuelan Thank you David…. It’s so dificult to have fled Venezuela 30yrs ago and today, feeling it’s all coming here. Americans are as blind/deaf as we were, they have Zero Clue of what they are going to vote for , they take all the American Way for granted… now, the problem also lies on the hands of those who abuse Capitalism, they lack of a strong middle class is the biggest problem you cannot have trillionaires at the expense of destroying the middle class cuz the price is loosing Democracy. The system needs to provide a way to narrow the gap and recupérate the life of the middle class, that today prefers not to have a family because they can’t make it. This is the land of opportunity but only for those who make it and that is dangerous…
-
Wow ❤
-
Mandami future story...... good luck NY!
-
wonderful Venezuelan LADY
-
Great interview to an even greater world personality. She deserves a better country. I can't avoid seeing the parallelism between the beginning of Venezuela's debacle with Chavez and the current situation in US. Paraphrasing her own words (you may replace "The President" for "Chavez" or for your favorite president's name): - The President was a populist that became an autocrat. - The President went after media personalities and companies that were in the opposition. - Only the super loyal people and companies to the President were receiving the benefits. - The President created tension, division in the population using religion and racism.
-
Hero!
-
Can you dig into what the US sanctions did to the economy?
-
Wow- great freaking interview David!!! So good…Let’s go! 🎉
-
Remarkable interview. All the right questions. Honest, thoughtful and informed responses. Machado is very inspiring. Imagine an America where PBS would immediately air this interview in its entirety, in the interest of educating the American public about the history, the tragedy and now the potential for a revived democratic Venezuela...Imagine that?
-
What a great interview. Free 🇻🇪 Venezuela.
-
C0RlNA aleas la Sayona o llorona , ha pedido que se sacrifique a su Pueblo con tal de ganar el poder en su pais….el premio debia ser el de la GU3RRA.

All the countries should unleash their potential and become rich. Wealth gives people dignity and confidence. The wealthier the world, the better off we will be. There will be much less violence, war and so on.

Our very own Iron Lady. God bless this woman! She's going to liberate our oppressed country and be a champion for democracy and economic freedom and lead us to a path of prosperity and happiness! We're going to once again be great allies to the US and the entire democratic world.
-
What a magnificent, inspiring leader, and a fantastic interview! Great work, Friedberg. Trump was definitely snubbed by the Nobel committee but she absolutely deserved the Peace Prize (two things can be true at the same time).
-
Americans need to watch this.
-
crazy eyes
-
Had to mention that the question that have been asked were incredible accurate not only go the heart of the facts and the reason behind why so many Venezuelans want to leave the country to anywhere, they can have freedom and have some chance of helping their peers in some way since the maduro regime destroy those possibilities, the world is a hard place but definety will be much better without this Dictatorship that destroy so many lives, and i am not a person that speaks from outside since i know what it means to live in socialist/communist country (Cuba).
-
She is my heroine. I’m so glad the world is finally listening to what she has been saying for years!!! Thank you President Trump!!!! Venezuela libre!
-
Thanks David. Almost prescient!

-
Glory to Venezuela 🇻🇪 for the democracy!❤❤❤and pray 🙏
-
Friedberg was on top of things here.
-
This popped up on my feed the last day. So glad that it did. She is an amazing person. I am hoping that this gets re released or pushed out again by the All-in team as it’s so timely. People with questions about Venezuela, Maduro, etc. should see this.
-
Thank you, David, for this illuminating interview. I hope Americans grasp the central theme: like most authoritarian socialist regimes, these systems are sustained by fear, coercion, and engineered scarcity - not consent. Poverty becomes the control mechanism; “support” is often purchased, pressured, or compelled rather than freely given.
-
I had reservations about watching this pod. But i should have known with friedberg, there would be great questions
-
Status adjustments
-
how does Friedberg get all the time... admirable
-
Friedberg is the last bastion of meaningful discourse and non-opportunistic integrity of this podcast. Protect this man at all costs.
-
Why does the AI summary of this video say US propaganda for regime change war in Venezuela??
-
What a great interview. Thank you, David, for doing such a masterful job getting the story of what has happened in Venezuela in front of the public. Your interviews are really top notch.
