Germany even has a law against "Insulting the Majesty" as the people call it in ridicule. The regime obviously doesn t call it that, they make up some BS about safety and anti-hate. But the purpose of all these laws is to restrict criticism of the regimes. And people get prison sentences for this stuff. George Orwell could not have come up with that. Europe has learned nothing from the Nazis and the Stasi.

Hell to the yeah for posting this. I am currently having to look up lawyers and preparing a case to bankrupt my local police department for wasting time and resources harassing people over free speech. We need Trump and the Feds in California or I am going to end up in a tolerance camp where I have to talk about my feelings while I finger paint my titty tassles that I'll have to wear in my forced transgender spirit walk. You need to regulate git commits and console logs so that people who get backend access and think they can abuse the system, know their identity is logged and can be easily subpoena'd, with a law that making up arbitrary policies about not retaining the data is also illegal.

I am English. I live in England. The establishment class of the UK (media, politicians) is completely corrupt. The ordinary people are not the kind of liberal flacks you see pushed by the media. They are really rather conservative (small c) and despise our government and corrupted institutions. The eatablishment hates X because X where you see what UK people actually think. Not only do we hate our establishment, we are cheering the sanctioning of establishment individuals who are cracking down on free speech. Btw. UK go after their leaders without mercy... Which is why they have tried to silence us.

Super impressed with Sarah. She nailed the fundamental right of free speech in our constitution and why it's so paramount compared to what's happening for instance in the UK and Europe. We've seen how regulation and censorship goes entirely too far (Biden cough, covid cough) and what damage that can do. It brainwashed an entire population into a single mode of thinking without any critical thought or introspection about what's best long-term and what's pragmatic. Unfortunately the blast radius of that time seems to still be affecting some the sheep'ish of Americans.

  • @ajphoenix1 · 4 likes Feb 6, 2026

Why is only harsh speech against left-wing policies or of those on the left considered hate speech? There is no criticism of right-wing policies or of those on the right that is considered hate speech. We can be called fascist, racist, Nazis, xenophobes, and dozens of other hateful words, and it is never hate speech, why? It's because under the guise of banning hate is how the predominant left-wing governments in the EU limit the speech of their opponents. Are most Europeans too stupid to see this corrupt game that is being played, or is it that most of them are left-wing and don't care?

You need to offer a visa route for UK citizens who want to escape the oncoming tyranny. There are large swaths of the UK who condemn the censorship and two tier policing, and feel the UK is too far gone and will only continue on this tyrannical path. The young generation have grown up with free speech and can see that the UK is headed down the wrong path. Personal freedoms are of the upmost importance, the US seems to be the only country in the world actively trying to maintain and strengthen free speech and personal freedoms. Please offer an escape route David. Speak to the president, it would be a huge signal if even 10,000 UK citizens moved to the US in protest of the tyranny and censorship.

  • @chen04ai Apr 6, 2026

They should have labeled this interview as “UK’s free speech failure”. UK and EU don’t have the same laws, yet this interview is set up as if it’s all the same. I live in Denmark. It’s ironic to see them focus on this part of the world where I have never in my life felt a limit to my right to freedom of speech, and then seeing how free speech is being limited and controlled in the US like never before in my lifetime.

The UK is a joke at the moment over free speech; the Labour communist government does not like it if the general public do not accept the preferential treatment migrant criminals are allowed over their crimes also housing and benefits... The UK government are pushing for Islamification of the UK and if you, as a UK Brit, speak out about it, verbally in public or online you can and will be arrested for incitement by the UK police who are now controlled and influenced by Muslim lead councils and politicians throughout the country... Free speech for the UK Brit is on the decline, the UK is actually worse than China now for arrests.

It's about time this hit the world stage. What's happening here in the UK is a disgrace to our history. Kier Starmer is routinely gaslighting everyone that we have free speech when he is locking people up for total nonsense. I suspect part of it is that the wrong doings by our government are so heinous, they are trying to censor communication streams where some of that might leak out but it also seems like the UK is being actively sabotaged by a bad actor/actors and that the Starmer regime is carrying out those acts of domestic sabotage for whatever incentives they have been motivated by.

  • @kaletheale Feb 2, 2026

I agree with most points, but their assessment of freedom of speech feels somewhat one-sided against the EU & UK. According to the latest RSF rankings on freedom of speech, the UK and most EU countries rank above the US. The same trend appears across other respected sources, such as Article 19 and Freedom House (which is US-based).
