Love Chamath, but whenever I see or hear SPAC and Chamath in the same sentence. Retail investors are going to lose.
-
Comparing SPACs to Raptor engine is such an insult to SPACEX.
-
Chamath is pushing his SPAC again
-
Friedberg always has the best takes
-
Chamath is the Tai Lopez of SPACS
-
Chamath is proud of SPAC 1.O?!?! Proud of how much he pumped and dumped equity into the public at inflated companies?!?
-
Sacks looks freaking exhausted. Keep up the good work, my dude.
-
No Chamath, nothing works with your "SPAC 1.0". Only lining your pockets. 2.0 will pump amd dump just like 1.0 due to a quick jump in the stock price which is exactly what happened with 1.0 and dumps anyways. There is no protection anywhere.
-
I think we should all acknowledge how good Calcanis is on the pod. Not the most successful business wise of the 4, but legitimately a top tier tech media guy who has contributed meaningful to the top pod in the game!
-
Tuning in to the Maga deep state podcast
-
JCal- love the Pod! This is a small nitpicky thing, but it happens almost every week here and there but have Chamath or whoever is doing his microphone just go get a 2 inch piece of foam in the square that his microphone stand can sit on and then put it on that. Then when he moves his hands Around the desk or hits the desk as he’s talking, it won’t be so noisy. It’s an easy fix. Appreciate you guys…longtime supporter.
-
Everyone who games knows EA develops for the shareholders not it's customers.
-
This episode is a good reminder of why I still tune in regularly…. When focused on tech/current business & finance themes (and not on politics) there are always some super interesting takes and takeaways …. Request to the 4some …. Please please please always find some time to carve out for the non political discussions !! That’s the sauce keeps us all coming back
-
Yes we made a big mistake not keeping up with Nuclear power
-
push up contest, sounds great!
-
Am I the only one that noticed that Sachs avoided using the word 'battery' in his response about how to provide backup grid power? Hope it wasnt a political choice to avoid upsetting the energy generation industry honchos. Batteries are emerging as a fantastic VPP solution for the grid
-
Chamath, 60/40 is 60 equities and 40 bonds not the other way around
-
Great week - we want more insights
-
Im a retired educator who has been listening here for a long time. I dont understand much but i always learn a little.
-
Great intro !
-
Chamath - “invest in my SPACs and PE is screwed.” Well, sir.. I have a question for you.. How was the risk adjusted return for your SPACs?
-
Spot on Sacks! Requiring businesses to spend more for a potentially lower demand for a given product, simply to satisfy observational stats is absurd. This just passes costs on to consumers with no way to test causality ethically. 💚
-
JCal: "Don't buy SPACs unless they're less than 1% of your portfolio" Brilliant.
-
Agree single federal standard
-
China is already ahead of us because we focused more on others than on ourselves.
-
Chamath i helped coinbase with their ipo. Dumps his cut on first day on exit liquidity. Texted Brian bro, this i learned the hard way. Wow just omg. 😂 great help to cb and it's investors.
-
Disparate impact is such a DANGEROUS catch-all term and attaching it to the “AI” conversation is the slippery-est of slopes
-
I cant tell you how many podcasts chamath and jason spent in the past saying how bad video games and these things are for kids etc etc and then praise how great the video games industry is for shareholder value. There is a saying… you cant have your cake and eat it too..
-
Been a fan of the Pod for years. Friedberg crushed it today!
-
I love Chamath , each of these guys brings what they know to the next level. I myself learn a lot from him. Great teachers!!!
-
Pod is on!! Miss you already after the ALL IN Summit
-
Great Friday show Besties!
-
Deepseek's new model is purely a research model. Its pretty clear what they are doing, first they have increased the efficiency by 10x with 0 accuracy loss. Next they will increase the context length by 10-20x. Im not sure when v4 is coming out but it will be a completely new architecture but it will be at the very least 1-2m context length have be under $1 per 1m tokens.
-
JCal: "Paul Thomas Anderson" Chamath: "Who? Never heard of him" That was like one of those shot out of a cannon DMT trips where I immediately unlock one of the greater mysteries of the universe...but specifically about Chamath and why he is the way he is lol
-
No one my age holds bonds period . Even when these crappy 401k companies try to put us in bonds, we customize our portfolio and get outta bonds........🎉
-
SPAC is a signal that a bubble is peaking, is it?
-
Love the early drop!
-
BIGGEST LBO? i think we should revisit in 1 year, when the price of games increase from $60 a piece to $139.99 each game.
-
Please work on the EQ. Too much treble in the 2k-4k area. Maybe use a de-esser
-
The big fail in policy is solar and wind. It should be "green", vs. fossil. It all has its place and role.
-
Free Ad for “shamath”
-
My favorite pod. Thanks guys!
-
99.9% sure chamath is just reading chatgpt when ranting at say 1:14:00 for example
-
THANK GOD FOR YOU GUYS! I was in a spot after checking in with the news! Am much better now.
-
I’m not even into tech topics but seriously you guys have the most fun podcast out there 🎉😂your friendships SHINE and are inspirational.
-
As a video game player, EA was a bad buy, triple A games are struggling against indie games and AI just makes more indie games possible
-
Why did Sacks not even mention Solar, Wind, Geothermal as part of the energy solution?
-
we learnt not to buy SPACS by CP LMAO 19:14
-
Chamath using the Raptor engines as an analogy on finding the most efficient way to pump and dump on retail investors is diabolical.
-
Best episode in ages! Thank you for talking about stuff you've all got interesting expertise and insights on (ie less political focus). This is what I watch for
-
If there's a way for President Trump to establish a single federal standard for AI I hope he can push it through.
-
China’s adoption of open source AI (vs US closed model) will allow them to cheaply extend their AI model to foreign countries, similar to Belt and Road infrastructure initiative. As Chamath points out, once you’ve adopted an AI model, switching is difficult. Hence, China wins, giving it the ability to AI influence the adoptive world. Czar Sachs…PLEASE DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN. 🙏🏽
-
Nah the answer is more nuclear power plants... I live near one and electricity is nothing. Plus they are safe, advanced, efficient, and can be small form factor now.
-
There is a gov appointee in here and nothing about the famous shutdown... It will be nice to know how much stuff could be moved to an AI autopilot?
-
55:54 they could build btc miners setups next to power plants and can turn on and off and help power co panies effecientlu use the power
-
I could see people using generated ai video as a way to communicate similar to emojis - it’ll be a way to communicate a perspective or opinion on a topic or event. Like a meme on steroids
-
RELEASE THE FILES !
-
@ 1:16:10 Friedberg goes off and I’m here for it. Friedberg is the best bestie!!!
-
The opening was very entertaining.
-
Good Show ! (finally ; ) 51 min Open Source / Closed Source discussion , super interesting, and yes Jason’s new Fund (62 min) with Bittensor / TAO is exactly that , wish they talked more about it 🎉
-
Wow. I actually agree with Calacanis - State vs Federal law. Depends on who is in power. Careful what you wish for.
-
This episode was amazing! Basically AIP is doing what they are great at and going back to their roots. Investment breakdown, finance stuff, latest tech (AI) and regulations around AI. Instead of talking about politics. I hope they continue this more and more. Feels like the original AIP.
-
I own one of Chamath's SPAC'S, hopefully it will get back to even before my great grandkids retire.
-
THE SIMS BACK DROP?!? FRIEDBURG FOR PRESIDENT
-
1:02:34 Iagon also. Def add it to your list. Probably overlooked because it left Ethereum to build out on cardano
-
Love Freidberg!
-
btw XAi has the largest data center, built their own water plant, and used Tesla megapacks -- thier motto is "to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy".... i think i would trust them over others to keep my energy costs low and backyard clean
-
Euclides. The. Hello. You. 🙂👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯✨
-
btw AI Energy watched this from Anastasi very good on how xAI colossus 2 build out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxuSvyOwVCI
-
~44:36 yes thank you
-
I look forward to these talks. Thank you.
-
Thank you for the episode. Thank you to David S and Chamath for explaining AI Open models
-
Great insights. Thanks for sharing.
-
Thanks for the show guys. The problems is that most of your advices are rather for millionairs. People who are about to build their "wealth", can not build it with, for examle, 60/40 allocation to bonds and stocks. And what you also did not consider is that there is a specific outcome depending on the path of AI. Considering the data and progress of AI And robotics, we are in a time with thie biggest disruption and like a second industrialization but x1000 and that also means that the tech companies providing this services will have trillions in evaluations. Even if we have a recession, which has a likelyhood of, I think 20% right now, that would not change the progress of AI and robotics.
-
I didn't realize how smart, capable and accomplished Jared Kushners brother is. I can't imagine any reason you guys would bring up his private equity strategy other than how smart he is and how cutting edge his strategy is. Im sure there's nobody else currently doing private equity roll ups with an AI angle.
-
As with any new technology AI's capabilities haven't fully developed. What if someone tries to claim an AI as a dependent on their income tax since they provide it with "food," shelter, training and IT "medical" care? What if someone creates an AI persona that people think is a real person and they list it as the sole heir to their property? What if AI teaches another system bad habits such as spying? I know it's outlandish but anything is possible.
-
9:05 friendberg is right about ai players increasing retention, but the moment human chats with these players, its done. gaming is basically the social media now
-
Finally
-
Anyone else upset that having all the money in the world can’t help fix the bags under Sacks’ eyes? Is there really no remedy for that?
-
Tale of too cities and the gang is in paris.
-
I think we need to start in solid national start up in control . It can always change! But if we try to go the opposite direction to need to pull in the reigns, would be impossible.
-
@jason to your question regarding private equity and the markets not letting the private single investment. My theory is no individual or entity should invest in more than one company in one industry. The competition will enable everyone to participate. Instead of this consolidation of the industries.
-
Great One!!
-
Honestly don’t know why I keep watching. The drama. Yes.
-
They moved past the projected 200% jump in energy prices quickly!
-
I have to assume the first 40 minutes or so was interesting to the pro investor crowd, but it’s 40 minutes I wish I could get back. I can’t recall feeling that in an All in podcast before this…
-
Great Episode. If state governments think AI is going to put thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of their citizens out of work then yes, they will do whatever it takes to slow down AI. Electric bills doubling.....they will solve that one to.
-
I love Chamath when he talk business. The presence of Sacks distracts him 😅
-
It's just money moving !
-
Yes! Lfg
-
Request: Please discuss the debasement trade. (Talk of the town on Wall Street led by JP Morgan)
-
47:00 Kimi K2 is the best choice when developing🤔
-
Appreciate you guys sharing your views and being real.
-
...Oh lord, here we go again with this guy!!
-
"the conditions on the field" i love Chamath's go-to sayings lol
-
Guys great job. Thank you for being balanced and fair. Even when I don’t agree I understand and respect the point.
-
48:30 build an adapter layer, Chamath — hire me lol
-
Jason , all the way!
-
The Saudi Kushner Dimon gaming EA talk was fascinating.
-
One of the best shows for a long time.
-
Love y'all
-
Good show
-
Love the take on video games - with AI we will be able to create larger more detailed worlds filled with more life like experiances. the future is extreamly bright for games
-
Good in relation to apply AI on bookkeepers, and that is very wide term)))
-
Best comedy pod
-
Scamath is back folks! Keep your heads on a swivel.
-
SPAC Jesus is Back!
-
I hope Chamath invests in a mic stand and/or shock mount. His table picks up lots of vibrations.
-
A reminder to re-evalualte all ideas you have picked up on this podcast. Have a good day.
-
As time goes on, although I don't agree on many things 1 of these members say, cough Jason cough I do agree that he's a much needed voice to have perspectives from all sides instead of just an echo chamber. As always, gentlemen, great podcast!!
-
“SPAC 1.0 was like the first Raptor Engine.” — Chamath
-
35:50 more respect for JCal!! The animated clone wars is better than most other star wars IP
-
For the love of God... get Chamath a better vibration isolation mount for his microphone. Listening to these is so painful with earbuds when he's banging on his desk. Also... love and appreciate you all.
-
These guys are great but does anyone know a good up to date podcast that discusses up and coming stocks?
-
You are seriously underestimating storytelling. That's what matters. People have a great deal to share of great interest. The context doesn't benefit from being gamed
-
The entire power/grid discussion ignores the fact that the extra power needed for data centers and taxpayers to live in harmony could be achieved by scaling up residential solar capacity. Squeezing out a few megawatts of power maintains the present grip on the entire system by private power companies.
-
"Hey Chamath can you explain XYZ?" Chamath: "When I first started 80/90,..." That's how he always starts 😂
-
Chamath u are my favorite❤ next time try being a bit more patient with the rest of the pod❤❤❤
-
Frieburg hit back, asking how you can sit there calling me a nerd when you know back characters from Star Wars.
-
Paycom a big Payroll accounting firm in OKC just announced 500 layoffs due to a new AI strategy. However they are hiring for front facing staff so sales basically. Accountants are going to be disrupted in perpetuity.
-
Jcal with the 6 7
-
I never knew jason is 5'4
-
Dang I'm always late to the Labubu Party...
-
Can the grid handle squeezing 80% more out of it? 56:56
-
What does Chamath think of Boxabl spac? Please.
-
I’m a CPA and interested in the AI strategy. How can I learn more or connect.
-
What is one product Chammath has designed? Just curious to know
-
How do we educate legislators ?
-
Why is there a retail component at all?
-
❗️❗️❗️There is a new issue of a problem with copy paste on published prompts that have hidden prompts that can’t be seen by user but are the direction the ai actually follows…very dangerous for access to files..the prompt could direct access or actions on sensitive files.
-
Why don’t they create a PROMPT that knows how to prompt the (needed ) prompts to get the needed results?
-
For the electricity and battery issue, isn’t this where Tesla comes in ?!!
-
I laughed inappropriatly on a plane due to the bilbo baggins comment 😂😂😂😂
-
States do have a say with a federal framework for artificial intelligence, their senators and representatives represent the states. Since AI is basically an e-commerce item that crosses state lines, I believe it fully falls under the federal jurisdiction and will supersede any state law. Correct me if I’m wrong I fought the genius act or the clarity act was going to federalize all AI development and put a 10 year moratorium on states passing any laws regarding AI?
-
the allegedly deflationary effect of AI, albeit nice-to-have, is gobbled up by hyper-inflation...you might have more time "to care for yourself" ...but you will need it to work at your third side-hustle, since you will not be able to make ends meet...the only solution is to start a company yourself based on AI, with all the risks and challenges this brings
-
Regarding the discussion of private equity plays on AI optimization of stale but stable businesses, I can say that I've previously observed a parallel form of this investment theme. In that moment, better cheaper and more productive software engineers from formerly eastern block countries played the role of AI. It actually can work, but if it's not managed well - most cases in my opinion - it's just another means of milking a dying cow. And I guess if you don't pay too much to acquire the doomed enterprise, maybe that's good business?
-
China’s constraint on Ai is Chips (efficiency) the US’s constraint is power. Each will then solve for these issues IMO.
-
Well it's like Bacardi being held responsible for DUI's
-
@35:50 🤣🤣🤣🤣
-
I like both ideas .. recently / data sources usage!
-
This was a great segment. My Lord. I learned something good stuff to assist my earnings efforts.
-
lol that intro was great
-
Great episode after ages… pls keep it up
-
Great Podcast Guy's Always Enjoy.💯✌️
-
Chamath was on the ball with energy costs and PR for AI
-
Omg life is just a never ending ai game 😭😭 I didn’t expect an existential crisis from this episode! 😅
-
1:28:15 AI regulation is different because it can be deeply integrated to any layer of the business, industries. Not like the car industry, the standard only affects one specific domain. Great discussion. ❤
-
Thanks for the insight! Seems like when you discuss politics, people complain, and when you do not talk politics, people complain.
-
I have no idea what you guys are talking about....but great show...I'm just a mere serf with no money to invest....😂
-
This podcast must have been filmed before Sora 2 was released
-
"You're like Bilbo Baggins..." LOLOL
-
The entrance music is the best in the business. Hire some rapper and Turn that into a 3 minute tune we can buy 😅
-
Would like to hear views on plays for some of the inputs to Ai generation going forward, e.g., silver, copper, etc., (but not gold).
-
Internet Computer Protocal solves the AI compute problems discussed in this episode.
