Jason did such a great job with this interview. He kept trying to bring up general flaws in the Democratic party of today. All Shapiro wanted to address was himself. The main tax change we need, for now, is that if you borrow against capital assets, you pay income taxes on the amount you've borrowed, as clearly you're avoiding cashing in assets. Maybe you get a tax credit for that if you later do cash in some assets and pay off that debt.

All-love to J-Cal for doing this. It's interesting to see the contrast between this and Rogan's interviewing style. Gov. Shapiro got-about a politician's tone from the get-go (after the High School B-Ball), whereas Rogan would start it out more on the personal front. I'm not in Pennsylvania, but I like what he is talking about (especially the money-back refund for non-timely permit issuance). I listened to everything he said, and overall, I'm glad I did, because I have a greater understanding of where he's coming from, even though I m not-likely to vote for him, if he were to come into a national election. Fraud in Minnesota was Trump's fault?

I thought Shapiro is different than other Democrats, but he is no different with other socialist democrats

Democrats are not going to get rid of fraud because it is the way they get funded. Republicans are not going to get rid of corporate corruption because it is the way they get funded

I'm from Western PA and I voted for Trump and Republicans for the first time since Bush. Shapiro seems a little better than the woke extremists like Omar, AOC, or Walz etc. But I need to hear Shapiro call out the corruption and extremism in his own party. And what does he mean Trump's big beautiful bill gives tax cuts to people that don't need em/?? First of all the bill cuts everyone's taxes. But also, everyone needs more tax breaks everyone is competing. Pa has to compete with every other state etc, our nation needs to compete for global capital too. And being we need to bring back domestic production and local supply chains in a hurry for national security, Trump gave good incentive to get the movers and shakers to set up shop in the US instead of China or Mexico etc. So Trump isn't giving away freebies, he is incentivizing new production and more supply. So how would Shapiro do better than that? How would Shapiro whip the Dems into consensus on anything that helps the producers? Dems want open borders and sanctuary city's and light on crime policies and racist DEI policies etc. How could Shapiro get anything done, let alone compare to Trump's warp speed??

I had favorable feelings towards Shapiro until he complained about the Harris campaign questioning his relationship with Israel because of a high school project. where he spent 5 months in Israel. I lived in Germany in the late 70's as an army brat. One of my buddies worked his career with a high security clearance for a defense contractor. He used me as a reference. Our government sent people to question me face to face 6 times about my buddy and any potential contact with Eastern European/Russian individuals. The last time was around 2010, more than 30 years after both of us had left Germany. Same basic questions each time while the interviewer is staring at me intently trying to ascertain whether I'm hiding something. If Shapiro doesn't understand why those questions need to be asked for someone being considered for VP given his past, I don't feel he's the right person to be our president

He lost me at 32:20 and the whole used to be party of freedom, the whole thing on the books is not manipulating children to do drastic things to themselves they don't understand and will most likely regret when they are older. It's the George Carlin bit when your ideology becomes your identity. Those decisions are free to be made as Adults. Teachers kick parents out of board meetings because the books they have in their schools are too explicit to be read aloud in a public setting, that is illogical.
