The Monte dog story is awesome.
-
Dude.. friedberg is such a darling.. that pallet cleanser was the main dish I enjoyed most!
-
My 35-year old single daughter is a pilates instructor - she just got the new price for her insurance premium, which covers NOTHING. It's $850/month. That's what we mean by "affordability crisis" - and that fact that the pace of inflation has been reduced doesn't fix a financial blow like that.
-
Hi there: As a Wyoming Rancher that raises cattle, I would like everyone to know that the high cost of beef at the grocery store is not the fault of Trump nor of inflation. Because of different factors, ranchers have had to sell cattle so it is a supply and demand problem. There are fewer cattle in this country than before. Governments in other countries do not subscribe to some of the same health standards that our government does so importation is not altogether the solution either. Love your program.
-
I needed dog corner more than I knew
-
Friedberg's dog story is an example of an answered prayer/ longing bestowed by a loving higher power.
-
At 0% inflation prices remain the same. For prices to come down we must have deflation. When was the last time we've had deflation?
-
How about this, if the data centers have to build energy sources, share these sources with the public. People would love cheaper energy!
-
Jason speaking for main street is hilarious
-
Let them eat cake ahh vibe...
-
When if you can promise to cut healthcare costs in half with AI? I think the nation would support it
-
Would usually agree w/ Sacks when its him vs jcal. but Jcal is totally right here, nobody <5M NW thinks living is affordable right now.
-
I'm a conservative and I do appreciate the role JCal is playing here, as well as deeply respecting the contributions that David has made in the administration. JCal is bringing up points that do resonate with people that don't have good information, and who believed that prices would "go down". Trump has a bad habit of exaggerating in his promises.
-
I just filled up for $1.99 gallon in Colorado. Very few complaints over here 😅
-
If Sacks continues to only address stats of right now or the past, and not address plans for rideshare/driver/less educated worker displacement as if that’s not the direction this leads… if the rest of this show doesn’t push back/assist in ensuring he drives a better narrative, the conversation/anxiety against AI will continue to rise in ways that will only negatively impact the progress he/ai can bring about…. I’m all in on the requirement to win the race, but I’d prefer we not drive massive civil unrest along the way… you are smarter/more capable than is currently being displayed
-
I am with Jcal and Chamath - the prosperity of the upper class needs to be used for some public good projects that everyone can feel it and vote for more.
-
on the price discussion, what's missing and which I think all on the pod know but seem purposely not want to comment on is the difference between price level and price inflation; this is econ 101. Prices for almost all goods are up (not all, some), but rising at a slower pace. "lowering prices" means deflation, and that hasn't occured except in a few commodities.
-
Short term work...what happens when all the data centers are built and run on AI it will only employ a few repair personnel
-
JCal's dog was as comfortable on his lap as we were listening to him and Sacks argue!
-
Prices never go “down” just up slower. Anyone who expected this is disconnected from reality.
-
🙋♀️cat lady, weekly listener
-
The Monty dog story was wild! I feel like the rest of the guys didn’t really give much of a reaction 😂
-
I am simple. I tune in for Mr. Friedberg's backdrops. It's not a criticism of the brilliant dialogue. It's just fun to try to figure out where his head is at each week. It's my crossword puzzle for the week. What Michael Dell and his wife did this week was truly a brilliant thing to do. He went from a Robber Baron to a hero in 5 minutes. I suggest others consider a similar endeavor once they reach max wealth. You live in a country that gave you the privilege to succeed. Let's mobilize the kids for a change. It would change AI's image immediately.
-
sacks needs to work on not needing to be "right" all the time
-
Jcal is right on this. Others are arguing as chiefs in a company while the Indian area feeling the working struggle.
-
Sacks just make a banger Grok University that blows every college on earth out of the water. For free. For every American.
-
Would love to have Frieburg discuss Quantum Computer technology.
-
When is Ben Shapiro coming on with Nick Fuentes?
-
Well said Chamath. Love to hear this. Trump, Dell and Dalio this week. More Carnegie, More Rockefeller. And more of the fella who inspired those, Mr Peabody, of coal train fame.
-
I want the AI industry to develop efficient energy generation so local communities have cheap(er) electricity costs.
-
I tune in weekly to hear billionaires talk about
-
People don’t trust AI cause it’s seems like AI has been co opted by billionaires. (Billionaires that have bunkers)
-
You're right Jason. We don't feel the drop in inflation yet. I'm feeling a lot better about the future.
-
Hey JCal, those of us who have to drive to work notice the drop on gas prices a lot! We also notice drop in beef and pork prices at our local store.
-
Jason and David arguing about inflation: The people want X to be less. But dX/dt is less. But people want X to be less. But dX/dt is less.
-
29.36 pause. Friedberg is a legend! 😀😀😀
-
Job growth in industries exposed to AI is greater. YEAH RIGHT. Chamath’s face when Sacks peddled this garbage was priceless.
-
I appreciate that you guys let each other getting their point across .. Looking at the mainstream debates It's like looking at kids fighting in Kindergarten. It's exhausting tbh
-
Friedbergs point about China using neural networks for lithography research is interesting. If there is an “ai race” it is in these areas
-
Flight got cancelled and I’ve been stuck at the airport for 17+ hours, scrambling with two separate tickets and routes just to get home to my family. Completely exhausting. This pod dropped at exactly the right time and made the wait way more bearable. Thanks for that 🙏 perfect timing!
-
What Sacks is totally missing is the uber driver doesn’t care if “the value of his labor” goes up if self driving eliminates his job. That’s way too abstract. That’s another way of saying, “you’ll figure it out.” There needs to be a better articulation of the vision for how we transition from now to AI driven abundance, or progress will be hindered by government overreach which is driven by public concern.
-
I am still paying 30% more for groceries every month, and dinner for two at a restaurant is completely out of control. A burger meal deal at Five Guys is $15.
-
Companies are not moral, maximal greed, how can we screw the customer. How can we addict them, trick, them into our product. How much can we jack up the price.
-
Cat lady here. They're the best for ppl who are worthy
-
what kids are doing today are so much more interactive? what? they're frying their dopamine...
-
Not happy until insurance and pharmacy companies get dismantled and their stranglehold on America gets undone.
-
im literally listening to this with my cat sat on my lap
-
Sacks and Friedberg legends
-
Chamath seems VERY nervous this episode. The taps are drying up. THIS IS A BEAR SIGNAL!
-
Love Canine Corner! Also cats are adorable and charming!😼
-
Regarding Zeiss optics, China has already achieved that level of optics. The company is called Zetop, its a JV between SiCarrier (Huawei subsidiary) and CIOMP. Regarding DUV, the fully domestic "DUVi" fabs are coming online in 2026 this will enable 5nm and possibly 3nm in time. There is massive capacity coming online in 2026... Now regarding stealing EUV technology, the guy who lead light source research is a Chinese man - he was the lead scientist. If he decided to go home and work on it then good for him, thats not stealing. ASML imported a Chinese man to head light source research because he was the best person for the job - in essence you could say they stole him from China.
-
Agree with Chamath on the first section.
-
Yes. It is a disconnect! You both are right (David and Jason), but their is a disconnect.
-
I think the reality is that the US public at large is smart (i.e. polymarket) and are rightfully concerned about AI advancements. All-In perpetuates that concern with consistently framing through the scope of "winners and losers" For the audience, I think you all would do well to invite a guest host whose a sensible unbiased AI expert - Geoffrey Hinton (noble prize winner for AI contributions). He is warning against rapid, de-regulated, careless AI advancement at the hands of y'all & your cronies, for the purpose of capitalistic profits. There's no stopping AI now it's going to happen either way. I hope there are some sensible people at the top that do regulate/safeguard it for the benefit of the common good. Rather than an ego driven competition, to win and climb the Forbes list.
-
I appreciated JCal speaking up about inflation from the perspective of the average American. When rent, groceries, insurance, and childcare keep rising, it doesn’t matter how the CPI is massaged, people feel it every day. When was the last time David Sacks or Chamath went grocery shopping themselves and felt those price increases firsthand or are they choosing not to see it to defense Trump. Thanks, JCal, for pushing back and keeping the podcast more balanced and less biased.
-
I think Friedberg is the only cool head and knowledgeable person in the pod!
-
FWIW - I’m in tech, and our national company has laid off smaller segments of our operational agents that interacted with customers on texting platforms. Goals are to reduce more jobs via AI. Many have been repositioned within the company, but some displaced as well.
-
…but are we in an ai bubble? is the new “…but does it run crysis?”
-
I’m Chamth’s Collar for Halloween 100%
-
My wife is the library director in my small town that has a Carnegie Library. Our town is proud to say we still use this building as our library, we work hard to upkeep the building and have modernized it over time. It is a beautiful building, and such an amazing contribution to the country.
-
RIP Monty
-
Work with the states to eliminate individual property taxes, reduce residential energy costs, and / or fund residential homes to move off the grid via solar.
-
11:38 Chamath talking about Libraries being artifacts of a dividend is smart. If these AI companies build next generation high speed rail connecting major cities, that could work. It would have a major positive impact to affordability as people can live further away.
-
Has David Sacks ever said anything negative about Trump? Very telling if not.
-
instead of job displacement, it should be about cost of living... AI just accelerates the decline of living standards for the average american. sacks would point to a few studies and say look the stats dont say so! but you can fudge the studies and stats as much as possible if you wanted to since there is a transparency problem
-
David, when you play Bowling the first time, bumper Guards are used. Most Americans don't want to COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN AI. They simply want Guard rails so job loss, weapons, etc don't get out of control! As humans, this is our first experience with AI. We need some safety measures!
-
If you look at the detailed inflation data it's incomplete they only looked at the price of cars and fuel to get the numbers for Nov.
-
Cat lady here! Love what DJT and team are doing to Make America Great Again!!!!!
-
The dog conversations are the best!!!
-
43:00 Friedberg: "The administration ran on the 3/3/3 narrative: 3% GDP growth, 3% deficit budget and 3% inflation". That is incorrect. It was 3% GDP growth, 3% deficit and 3 extra million of oil barrels produced ("drill, baby, drill" program). Only one of those "3" has been achieved.
-
Why aren't you talking about the SpaceX IPO?
-
Guess it's changing to the All in Texas podcast! Welcome boys!
-
Definitely had to give a thumbs up on the cats. Dog dude here.
-
JayCal forgot rule 0 of the internet. Don’t fuck with or diss cats. 👀
-
The problem is not that AI could replace most jobs...it's that they want AI to replace most jobs
-
I am a cat lady listening to this pod
-
did JCal and Sacks argue like this before Sacks joining the government? i can finally see why JCal invite to the white house got lost in the mail.
-
We are not disappointed
-
WOO HOO. All-in for today's episode!!!
-
The real disconnect is that general American who's against capitalism doesn't understand that China is single party CAPITALISM.
-
Awesome monologue by Chamath ! It’s time for billionaires to understand the influence they have, and give back to the American people, in a way that will inspire the next generation ❤
-
Appreciate when you guys challenge each other. Lean right here but appreciate JCal and Sacks getting at it.
-
Happy Holidays everyone!
-
It is HILARIOUS to hear Jason Calacanis offer his 'none biased', 'no dog in the fight', 'no horse in this race',reflections on how the bottom half of Americans are feeling ... Dinners together, in private, must be a hoot with you all
-
Billionaires say “golden age is coming” and we are suppose to believe that.
-
Great episode!!!! Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
-
Thanks, Jcal, for being the voice of reason, as per usual. I’d believe so much more of what Sacks says if he EVER said a single negative word about Trump.
-
51:00 that story tears my heart a little. My black cat died of cancer who was very much like Monty. And right after that, a stray black cat in our neighborhood basically chose me. And he is the same way, a great companion.
-
A clip account for All In but just Friedberg's bits.
-
Chamath's response on AI perception and lessons from history is enlightened and spot on. Brilliant.
-
I LOVE Friedberg’s backgrounds! Real Genius! Love that movie!
-
What "bottom half of Americans " has he been speaking with or is he receiving his information provided by CNN. I am a "bottom half" American who makes $65,000 a year and I noticed prices coming down. My homeowners insurance dropped $300 because I decided to go with a local, not national, insurance company and the coverage is equal. Most adults are similar to kids and often think like kids as well. They want instant results no matter what.
-
Core Inflation data is being fabricated. Prices haven’t dropped a cent.
-
57 year old women who has a terribly needy cat yet is allergic to both cats and dogs and enjoys your podcast. I happened upon your show a number of months ago and I’m grateful for your discussions. Keep trying to tell my 24 year old son to listen since he’s in his masters degree program for business analytics with AI.
-
Jason is right though about the people not feeling the data yet. Grocery store shopping would be a good year to date comparison, cost and quantity. Yes, gas $ is lower. CA though, just not gonna feel the better the way the rest of the nation might.
-
33:00 they got rid of tens of thousands of excess government jobs at $100,000 apiece. The pigs “at the trough“ as it were. They think very highly of themselves. They can take their skill set and go out into the private sector and “earn it” the old-fashioned way.
-
So, if I remember correctly, China invented the printing press. Does that mean EUV lithography is kind of like reverse-engineering that idea and improving it so it can “print” electrical circuits?
-
Can Sacks be replaced with someone capable of thinking for themself?
-
Absolute BEST Pod of the year gentlemen! 🎉 Thank you for all you guys do to educate us all. Have a VERY MERRY Christmas 🎁 jealous that I will be stuck in Commie-Fornia and you have all made your move to free-America 😢
-
“The American people just don’t believe you!” 😅 that summarizes it up.
-
I love friedburg. My favorite bestie
-
JCAL is right. People can't afford to live. Inflation may be down, somewhat, but things are still more expensive than a year ago. Prices haven't gone down, yes we need deflation. Things are too expensive, and it doesn't matter how good the stock market it when people can't afford rent, utilities, cars, vacation, savings etc.
-
3:53 what I can tell you is if WE get stuck with the bag for power & water bills, for waste and heath issues that are rising in communities near them, and for use of land in idiotic ways (solar farms when we have perfectly good parking lots and rooftops) - you’ll see riots! NONE of us want them and there’s a whole lot of secret meetings to try and get them before the public can speak up in StL…
-
THE ORIGINAL QUARTET OF DEEEBS….. without SOCIAL INTERACTION… KIDS LOOK AT THE DATA!!!!! Super engaging!!!! Get some athletes in your quartet REVENGE OF THE NERDS….. GET 62!!!!!! You all are children
-
Everyone knows about you all now…so sad. https://youtu.be/wewu9h72XrE?si=INjE-rTCugWzlOL5
-
I don’t know about you but I’m looking forward to AI and tech leaders building 15 minute cities and we all get to live in 300 square foot apartments and be constantly surveilled so we don’t revolt. It’s gonna be amazing
-
David, please address Jason's narrative about how the average person in US is feeling.
-
"Golden age" hahahhahahhhhahahahhahahahhahahahahahahahaha
-
Best debate between Jason and Chamath in a while. Well done gentleman 👏
-
Cat Lady here 🙋🏻♀️, part of the Top 3% of your fans according to YouTube recap. FYI we exist!
-
Thank you Jason for speaking up👍
-
I give the host credit for this one
-
This is an important and thoughtful discussion, and it’s also worth acknowledging the context it’s happening in—among people with significant wealth, influence, and insulation from downside. Most regular, middle-class people aren’t confused about AI or hostile to progress. They already live with automation, metrics, algorithms, and constant pressure to be more productive. They understand exactly what AI can do. What separates their experience from elite optimism isn’t awareness—it’s exposure. For the middle class, AI doesn’t show up as leverage or optional experimentation. It shows up as compressed timelines, higher expectations, and fewer buffers to absorb mistakes. Retraining takes unpaid time. Job transitions carry real risk. A misstep isn’t theoretical—it affects healthcare, housing, and family stability. When conversations focus on efficiency and long-term gains without addressing time, predictability, and shared downside, they miss how change is actually experienced by most people. Progress feels real to the public when it creates breathing room, not just faster cycles. That gap—between understanding AI and being insulated from its consequences—is what much of the middle class is paying attention to.
-
Another fine episode!
-
I'm in China and noticed that there was an AI Championship competition hosted at my hotel, drawing on people around the country to demonstrate their skills by solving real chinese infrastructure problems using AI. The best team gets nationally honored and naturally can get a job anywhere. So smart and I don't know if anything like that is happening in the U.S. I'm so impressed by China at every level. As far as I'm concerned they have already left America in the dust: * Around cohesive national projects. * Around long-term vision. * Around power generation. * Around electric cars. * Around electric motorbikes - complete silence on very well-maintained streets with 50% of people using them. * Around hard-work and education. * Around population. * Around architecture. * Around hospitality - I've met some great people who refuse a tip and help me more than I'm helped in the U.S. I think China is the best thing to ever happen to America: We will never catch up to China but it might get us off our asses or at least recognizing how stupid a government is that slows down innovation and growth at every turn. I never could get my house built in San Francisco so now I'm overseas and loving what I'm seeing.
-
21:05 happy to see the stats … but we ARE seeing the rise in power pricing in StL… sooooooo, love you guys, long time sub… still not sold on this need.
-
#1 (Out of Touch) Podcast
-
Don’t get me wrong! I love your show and personalities!
-
@22:20 Just finished Dan Wang's (2025) book "Breakneck" where he did a fantastic job of comparing and contrasting China (the nation of engineers) and The United States (the nation of lawyers) where he states that China is in the state that the US was in during the 18th–19th centuries where they addressed all the problems by way of science and technology. Pointing out that the US' approach is more of resolution through regulation. This interpretation explains the Vanguard findings and adds a sociocultural layer of nuance. Worthwhile read with eye opening conclusions/recommendations
-
Love the canine corner. Seriously, what are the odds his neighbor has his dog's brother
-
Good discussion
-
Waymo shifted its field testing to Singapore. Not California. Refer to Bernie hammering away at his drum?
-
We really like the way you connected the different ideas throughout the entire video
-
Finally, someone with integrity speaks the truth. The American people need overall security. We are concerned about jobs, housing, food, and quality of life. This is not something that’s going to happen in the future. It’s happening now and action needs to be implemented immediately. Let me say this again this is not sometime in the future. It is now
-
The king Canute issue always exists. No free lunch?
-
Some of the prices has comes down, and it’ll will take some time to get better, nothing work over night. I don’t expect perfection.
-
I’m so happy I found this video!
-
This might be the only podcast that I would buy a shirt for.
-
lol the cat joke was unreal
-
When electricity and water are diverted from people to survielence machines you know that the deck needs reshuffling.
-
I think the bigger problem with the data centers is they are not talking to the people in the area they're hiding things they're rejecting things they're not open with everybody in many city council townships Etc sneak votes through without letting people know they're coming up
-
FYI: if you use AI to google if AI data centers use huge amounts of water away from municipalities etc. answers on top searches are YES for cooling the enormous amounts of heat .
-
Semi fab equipment is not easy to transport especially lithography and inspection equipment.
-
Thanks jcal
-
Is that Reed Hoffman that jcal was holding?
-
12:18 yessss well said Chamath
-
41:44 - I have not noticed grocery prices going up except for certain meats. Most everything else has either remained steady or gone down (goldfish snacks has gone down by $4 per large carton & eggs have also come down, same w/ most of the groceries I buy weekly
-
We are witnessing NYC intra-borough rivalry. Have to chuckle at Brooklyn’s JCal being dismissive of Queen’s Cheeto.
-
Nailed it. We’re in. Thanks for keeping it real.
-
The team owns Jason for a interesting debate, the questions he is asking are being asked. And he is doing you all a great service.
-
thank you jcal for representing the average person on the show. giving this show a balance
-
With my serious rare illness, I couldn't afford to spend two weeks in a hospital in the USA, let alone three months.
-
As a person who has worked with children, families, and educators all of my life (a long time!) the best thing the tech industry can do to address fear about job loss is to provide guidance on what skills kids need to have to work in America as tech evolves. Same for parents and adults who will need different jobs, and for education on what needs to shift to prepare all of us.

I remember Moose’s photos as a puppy recently adopted by Sacks.
-
I will say it was interesting to hear you acknowledge that there is real tension building.
-
That was the best podcast in a g e s ! Thank you, besties and crew, and our best wishes from the former 'second city of the Empire'.

that dog story with the brother of Monte was amazing! 🥲
-
The heartwarming “Dog Corner” 🐶 grounded everything in a miraculous holiday story of enduring love—turning loss into unexpected connection and joy. Paired with Gilded Age insights on approaching change, it’s a timely call to create solutions that dispel AI fears, innovate boldly, and uplift everyone—not just the thriving. Outstanding episode! 🎙️ #AllInPodcast
-
Out of the bunch the most I respect is Friedberg. The only guy I would ever work for.
-
I've grown to appreciate the opinions of everyone on this show, even Jason. We need to talk freely and question ideas that seem off regardless of team sports
-
Dog corner! Excellent addition! I got a puppy for Christmas 😀
-
At last! A little humility and some recognition that innovation and technology needs to benefit the largest number of people. Not just the few.
-
Love the conversation. Thanks JCal for poking the others
-
Incredible “episode”. Loved it!
-
Great show, love you guys, great event!
-
Love the Dog talk, excellent relief from the tension
-
Love that you guys are all together. I have some ideas for what you guys talk about. Want to chat?
-
Appreciate you guys!
-
Great to see the pack is back. Love you boys ❤
-
Great episodes!
-
I really wish this podcast was longer, it’s the best part of my Saturday
-
Friedberg always with the insightful analysis.
-
Would love to learn more about Chamath's philanthropic plans. Great to hear him speak up and encourage more action! 💚
-
The dog portion, absolutely great
-
Jason is right we dont feel it down here.
-
41:08 😂 I love Jason
-
Thank you Jason for holding position to articulate the bottom ’half’ of the population’s perception of the economy right now. Higher costs just don’t feel good.
-
Great discussion episode
-
~11.00 Kind of weird for Chalamath to go on about the railway tech breakthrough in the later 1800s as if it is a positive precedent. The "Panics" of 1873 and 1893--sometimes called the "Long Depression"--resulted in 20+% sustained unemployment rates, huge bank runs, a monetary crisis and bank bailouts. I doubt that Chamath intended to communicate that we should expect the AI era to play out similarly.
-
"The American People" from Jason is really something. What American people, does he know these people....
-
For D.Friedberg, the 3/3/3 target as secretary Bessent presented it, included not inflation (set by Fed at2%) but growth of 3 million oil barrel equivalent per day.
-
Amuse bouche. Pamplemousse sorbet. My dog died. 😂😂😂 that actually made me cackle laugh.
-
Friedberg’s story about finding his dog’s brother was hilarious ……😂
-
Does anyone have the link to the Vanguard study David references?
-
